re: Why did moscona get rid of condons show?
Posted by Optimism on 3/1/26 at 9:41 am to shagnasty 2
I think Gordy Rush Makes the decisions he is GM of Guarantey not Moscona
Agree that is Rousse plan make it a real Flaghip and offer more scholarship money to high performing. Louisiana kids .Today was one of first steps getting UNO under LSU was also part of plan as well as reorganization of the medical schools.
LSU about to become a lot more restrictive. The will funnel kids who dont make the cut to LSUNO LSU S LSU E etc
Moscona is just mad that Woodwards 2 Major hires were failures
It will be funded by the State via hotel motel tax and the Pelicans just like the Dome. There will also be a renovation of Champiins Square and old New Orleans Center parking garage and possibly tearing down the ramp along Poydras for the Dome and creating a tailgating park there. EXpect an announcement this summer. The Governor is on board and has a close working relationship with Mrs Benson and the organization. This will not only help the PELs but the state wants to be g more UFC fights more concerts and Maybe hockey exhibitions to the arena and this will help with the 2031 Suoer Bowl bid
re: NC State insiders are concerned about Will Wade returning to LSU
Posted by Optimism on 2/26/26 at 8:26 am to mcspufftiger7
NCSTate in current landscape is a mid tier program in the ACC which is a mid level conference as far as revenue. LSU is in a premier conference with incredible resources for all sports and a president and BOS President r who are closely affiliated with Will Wade. This isn’t high level detective stuff. Despite LSU love for baseball it isn’t a revenue sport and LSU needs mens basketball to generate more revenue to help keep the whole Athletic Dept afloat
PAul was mad that he was forced out at LSU and now he has damaged his legacy very similar to Les going to Kansas at the end of his career.
It is pretty obvious that with Mallet and Rousse in charge they will offer Wade the job. THe ACC is so far behind the SEC in money and NCSTATE is not a Duke or UNC. It makes more sense that Wade would come back to LSU but it will be his decision to make.
I wonder what the support in OKC would have been if they had same record as Pelicans
re: Who purchases the team next?

Southeast LA with BR NOLA metros is 2.5 million people. State is improving economically. Team is going nowhere
I wonder how many people who are against data centers have smart phones tablets computers etc
re: 3 Data Centers to be built in north Louisiana?
Posted by Optimism on 2/23/26 at 1:38 pm to Jim Rockford
Not sure what else would be put in North La it’s not like the area has been booming the last. 30 yrs
Another resume hire by Woodward. He was 0/2 in his 2 biggest hires. It is amazing some people are still mad he was fired even if you despise Landry he deserves credit for getting rid of Woodward and overhauling the LSU board . It would have been better to do it behind the scenes but that’s not how he operates at least the end result was good. If we can get WW back this will be best set of coaches in all sports that we have ever had .
re: Wade is never coming back

He will be at LSU next year. LEe Mallet and Rousse are the key. The SEC money dwarfs ACC money and NC state is always second fiddle to UNC

GRAVES won’t move the team
re: Todd Graves has gone public on wanting to own Gayle’s franchises possibly one day.
Posted by Optimism on 2/19/26 at 5:06 pm to Geauxldilocks
PELS arent moving about to sign a lease extension. Graves will likely be owner of both teams at some point.
I believe this is just a start if Liv is successful, they will do more renovations for the next year and probably start hosting some more regional tournaments may be a senior tour or LPGA event
Bayou Oaks driving range

re: Record number of LSU applicants, most from out of state

Yes all SEC schools are attracting kids from NorthEast now. Avoiding the woke, college athletics the weather and price are all factors. It may have been messy but the new LSU president was a good choice and will improve the entire LSU system
