This isn't a job. You don't to quit and look for something better. It is about representing your school and playing for your friends you grew up with. Not "This is hard. I need to find something easier". That is all you want. An easier path instead of teaching your kid that sometimes you have to wait and earn you spot in life. Your kids are going to be entitled assholes.

Because it is more than about 1 kids experience. High School athletics are about building a program and biding your time and earning your shot. 1 time transfer goes against all of that. Sorry you didn't get to play in HS. If coach would have just given you a chance y'all would have won state right?

You are missing the whole concept of high school sports. It is a group of kids who grew up together to represent a community to compete against other schools/communities. It isn't about what is best of each individual kid. That is what summer ball is for. There has to be integrity in the sport. Kids not transferring keeps that integrity. Fair competition between schools. That is what high school sports represents. Not buying players and going where you can play because you weren't good enough at the school you grew up at.
If a parent has to change jobs and they up and move then by all means. That is part of life. But not just "I don't like it here, let me go somewhere else". That isn't what high school sports is or ever has been.

A couple of examples:
3a school has a good group of 6 baseball players in 1 class. They start as sophomores and go 5-22. As Jrs. They go 14-14. Going into their senior year 3 get poached to go to 5a schools. Team then goes 10-20. How is that fair to the other kids or coaches.
On the Acadmeic side, you think it is only good students transferring. You have low academic students leaving bad schools to populate good schools which brings the good school down. It hurts the academics and school culture.

You absoluley have a travel ball kid coming up about to go to HS. You want him at Barbe but when he doesn't see the field you want to be able to move it to somewhere where he does.
