LSU grad & faculty member (different school) here. There are always multiple options to get students enrolled later in semester- especially today with online asynchronous options.

I think that there needs to be some kind of limits on the portal. Perhaps like you can only transfer 1-2 times, or if you transfer you have to stay for 2 seasons.
The problem is the NCAA is run by the big conferences, and putting limits on the member schools is against their self interests in some cases. So they won’t.
But if they don’t set some limits, then they will have limits imposed by legislation. And they may not like this.

So who left LSU in a worse position- Coach O or Coach BK?
I have little doubt that we have the right guy in place to fix it, and he has the $ required to do the job. But the philosophical question remains- is he in a better starting position than BK was in 2022?
