#1 on 247Sports. on3 has LSU @ #13. Totally different methodology. on3 makes subtractions for the transfers out.
So far, 4 of our OL players in the portal have signed with other SEC teams. Is thus an indication that the talent at OL wasn’t the main problem this past season? Pretty damming evidence that Davis & Sloan were the problem,
QUOTE: “ I guess the staff thinks they can fix him otherwise he would’ve been gone like the rest of them

Measurables alone i think he’s worth a depth spot. Hopefully a big sophomore leap”

Most posters on this board think that Brad Davis was good at recruiting, but bad at the mechanics of coaching. Most also believe that Sloan was a terrible OC with bad play selection and concept. I agree on both points. So some of the younger players may be salvageable. I have some doubts about Davis, but definitely feel that Curne, Echols, and Adams would fall into that category. If not as starters, maybe as experienced depth.

“ That’s not what they said. The poster heard wrong. It was 10.5 over 3 years. Which would be 3.5M per year. That’s still an assload of money.”

Yes it is. In reality we will need to sign 2 good experienced QBs for both competition and in case of an injury. (I don’t think Van Buren will make the top 2). We will probably have to dole out $2mm to $2.5mm for each.

I doubt that Underwood would take the pay cut and we would be foolish to even entertain signing Lagway.

And you know this how? As a freshman at Missouri Lace did nothing. A year to get bigger, learn blocking assignments and pass routes can make a big difference. Do you think anyone would be raving about Lacy this year if he was running behind our line with Sloan calling the plays?
“Numbers” ??

This is an LSU fan board not one for the faggies
I quit going to the alumni watch parties when they moved from Little Woodrows on Shepherd to the Drift. Too big & glitzy for me. I prefer a place with that pub vibe. The alumni association has since moved further west to the Christian’s Tailgate @ Gessner (another forgettable place).
I hope they don’t understand.

True, Aranda followed his dream to be a HC. But the perfect example of the “Peter Principal” where people rise to their level of respective incompetence. He was a great DC, but he is a not so great HC.

Kiffen is an immature impulsive jerk. Lucky his actions didn’t cost his team a win yesterday. Going for it 4th and 1 on the OM 25 in the 3rd quarter is not a ballsy move. Just plain stupid.

Echols couldn’t have been that bad. He gave up no sacks going up against a very good pass rushing team. In fact. USCe got no sacks last night. Our biggest problem is run blocking. And when we run it is predictably to the left side. Why, because Westin Davis is terrible. When was the last time we had a +rushing play to the right side of the line?

Like he needs to go on a diet. He moved his feet to slow to play tackle.

re: who wants A&M as a permanent rival?

Posted by 75EE on 8/23/25 at 3:11 pm to
I seriously do not understand why people mention OU as a permanent opponent. When we play (and best them) this year the combined history of play will be a grand total of 4 games with LSU winning all 4. Hardly a rivalry.
+OKC is not hot spot for recruiting where you want to get your foot in the door.

re: Predict the 3 annual rivals

You are thinking in terms of 4 distinct quads. The announcement didn’t state that. Each of LSU’s permanent rivals will likely be different from ours.
Who we used to play rivalry week each year would have been Tulane.
But that ended. Time to give the”The Boot” the boot as well.
