For us, for the region, and the rest of the world.
I've served my time, and fought the wars in my era.
I can say unequivocally that this is the first real large scale military action that I 100% support in my lifetime.
It's not even close.

It was, and is completley rediculious that they had these rules. Especially because these structures lose their protection status once used by the enemy.
The politicians, and "hearts and minds" campaign got more of us killed than anything else.

They still have missiles i guess. A great move would be to use the gulf states to secure it. That limited scope would prevent them from mixing in with what we are doing, and allow us to focus on annotating everything else. Maybe like a 60 mile circle around the straights. The Saudis could handle that.

Regardless how you personally feel about it TOTAL WAR is good for a society.
It brings people together in ways never before imaginable.
Imagine 6 years of the week after 9/11.
We have had nothing but slap d regional conflicts since ww2. It allowed the feckless to value themselves more than the cause, and the only people who learned truth were those in combat.
We, as a nation then systematically went out of our way to destroy our returning warfighters starting in Nam and it continues today.
22 a day wasn't a thing after ww2.
Everyone needs to look in a fn mirror.
Regardless how you personally feel about it TOTAL WAR is good for a society.
