True. I was just assuming Alabama was objectively more backwards than Virginia and that they would pay state senators like 5 bucks

Here is a quick google of Alabama Senators:
Just saying

As of early 2025/2026, Alabama State Senators earn an annual salary of approximately $62,212. Their pay is tied to the state's median household income

Executive orders are what every intelligent president understood they were for decades before trump:
A bullshite avenue to get your way, and legal jeopardy when proven wrong

What is this. Sounds like my wife’s grandfather rambling about being a share-cropper.
Every day (for trump) should be a SOTU address day, drafted and crafted by someone…smarter.
Give us the cliffs later. Jesus.

For anyone paying attention, this is and should be the biggest news concerning government overreach in a long time.
This administration has already played kingmaker with Intel and other major companies by investing in them.
To force a private company to release guardrails on its product…based on a liberal AND conservative consensus interpretation of the constitution is unreal.

Then why do we keep talking about it. Since everyone knows trump wants regime change or to just blow Iran off the map, what 7-year olds are left, thinking otherwise?
Is it true the new 10% tariffs will only be in effect for 150 days?
Posted by Augustus516 on 2/21/26 at 6:50 am
If true, i imagine businesses may potentially cut deals with other countries business knowing there is an expiration date, with little political appetite to renew.
Am I right? Any business/economist types with insight on this?

AI/robotics will be able to do repetitive jobs very well. Even your surgeons will eventually push a "self-driving" button to dissect straight down to a tumor/mass. Sure, you'll still want a "co-pilot" in the room with the patient, but THAT person could be any moderately skilled troubleshooter. The "surgeon" will be sitting in a room in Dubai or something operating on a dozen people at the same time
This is already happening with some models of da vinci robots

1 Cor 10:23…just for the ‘Christians’;
“ All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not”.
So for the Christians: even though something fits the letter of the law, is it the right and responsible thing to do?
Even though we have freedom of speech from the 1st amendment, should we use profanities in front a 3 year old? What would happen if police pulled over everyone going just one mph over the speed limit?
I think men and women, regardless of what this nation’s laws allow, who change their naturally born sex to something perverted is obscene…and yet your laws allow it to happen. So why do you pick and choose what outrages you, and where decency and perhaps bible morality trumps man’s laws?
Either you are for what is right and makes sense (the bible/infallible/Gods word), or you believe in what sounds right (the constitution/flawed/a work of man)

I'm not sure that you know how rate cuts are considered. When inflation is considered low, the risk of uncomfortable levels of inflation driven by interest rate cuts are also lowered, which makes rate cuts relatively more likely.
I’ll admit I don’t know all the factors that are considered. But if inflation is going down, that will be a signal to the decision makers that their actions are working.
It still is not at the target of 2.0% though.
Why would they choose to encourage spending and risk it going back up?
Markets will be indifferent to inflation going down; they want people to spend

I mean, if inflation report is good that means there is not gonna be any rate cuts coming anytime soon.
