Solid point but what about the increase in roster budget necessary to get any decent coach to come to LSU? Or the increase in coach and staff salaries to lure a decent coach to LSU? Or the increased staffing necessary to put a winning team on the court even with a new coaching staff and increased roster budget? Or those staff stragglers that stay on but do nothing like Taz or the blonde who worked WW's office? It adds up and, while not a ton relative to football, it is, I think, more than LSU is willing to swallow this year. There also remains the question of who will want this job given the lack of support for the program and, if someone wants it, at what premium salary? I am also ready for a change. I was ready last year but didn't think it would happen. I still don't.

WW would DEFINITELY leave NCST for LSU at the end of this year. No question. I suspect he really wants to return. Our Chancellor would love to have him. But there are obstacles including needing about 12-14m in roster money, CMM and staff buyout, WW and staff contracts and the useless admin holdovers we see with every coaching change in ever sport. This will be a 60m or so lift IMO. VS keep CMM on, bump roster $ (despite doing so last year to a level that is clearly not enough) and see what happens. I think the latter will happen (minus the roster bump). VA's latest comments support my opinion. But this is some really bad hoops by really average players in front of no fans.

I am a WW fan. Great coach! Great promotor of the game. Would love for him to come back BUT I do not see it happening. Why? 1. requires big roster budget bump 2. requires significant buyout if happens end of season 3. requires much bigger coach admin and staff investment and 4. LSU will never commit that much $ to men's hoops. Sad facts and I hope I am wrong. Priorities are: football, baseball, wbb (any $8m annual budget drain) then mbb.

True but still south of average in SEC not to mention PMAC sucks. Point is that we pay a premium to get players to LSU and have a below average wage roster fund. That is the giant problem. Coaching can be improved but won't change much given above. I'm not pro current coach. I'm realistic about what it will take to succeed in current structure. We don't have it and have shown zero commitment to getting it.

WW isn't coming back. Roster is our primary problem not coaching. We have a thin average to low average roster. One injury demonstrates lack of depth. Answer these days is money. Not Firing CMM. Not dreaming of WW. Roster money. New arena. New practice training facilities. A huge commitment. I doubt I will live to see it so get used to crap men's hoops under any coach.

This is a very bad feeling. It happened to me. Twice. It hurt for a long time but it gets better until the second time which hurts a lot longer and leaves you changing your mind about women and next thing you know you have a new set of friends who like to do new different things like disco dance, ballroom dance, make crafts and play catch the greased pig but the pig is a dude and he doesn't try very hard to not get caught. Anywho, what I'm trying to say his I really hope this doesn't happen to Coach Kiffin because he sort of already looks and acts like my new friends so maybe just getting left at the alter one time will tip him over the edge. If he is fast and shifty then he can play the grease pig next game.
