Then build the bases? The US had multiple bases across Greenland before it decided to close them. Denmark is (well, now they might not) not going to deny the US expansion if there are legitimate security concerns. You want the minerals? Then lease them. That’s called diplomacy.

All of that is easily achievable with an ally of 80 years. Why destroy relations with the whole continent of Europe when you can have it all?

Let’s face it, this is just an ego thing for Trump. He wants to be the one to acquire a huge landmass for his legacy, and he doesn’t care how many relationships across the pond he burns in the process.
What’s wrong with the current deal? What does the US want to do in Greenland that it can’t currently? Why hasn’t Trump built up defenses in Greenland over the 5 years he’s been in office?
Does this include MIA Toyotas? I’d need more than $10k to purchase a shitty American vehicle
Those are private platforms who are and should be free to moderate their platforms as they see fit. The first amendment does not apply. It’s literally no different than an admin in this forum moderating/banning users for breaking platform rules.
Truth hurts, he released 5,000 Taliban terrorists back into the wild and then signed surrender terms which included a full withdrawal of US troops. These are simple facts.

I haven’t seen anyone mention US lives. Only Iranian lives. Trump has to make the right decisions because American servicemen are risking their lives to carry out any orders he issues. He is not going to do anything until he knows its the best option and right time to do so.

That would be valid if not for the fact he egged the protestors on, telling them to keep fighting, then promising them “help is on the way”.
The airbase was lost before Biden came into office. 3,000 troops left in Kabul isn’t enough to secure Bagram airbase from the Taliban. Trump already signed surrender terms with them which required a full US withdrawal.
After they already massacred thousands. How many of those held are actually released? Sounds more like a temporary stay of execution rather than a pardon. They will be hanging from cranes in a few weeks.

Trump drew a red line at a point Iran had already crossed and he chickened out on his threats to do anything about it.
The white supremacists of the board aren’t gonna like finding out the commies are the real master race.
There's no legitimate excuse. Trump and MAGA are simply salivating at the thought of annexing territory by conquest. The defense argument holds no water since the existing agreement gives the US freedom to build pretty much whatever defensive structures it wants there.
I drink 0% for fewer calories. Whole milk tastes gross going back to it, 1% is probably the best taste for me.
This, raking the UK over the coals while ignoring Palantir’s doings in the US takes some serious mental gymnastics
If someone was smart enough to hack the machines, they would be smart enough randomize the sequence.

Edit: saw they’re physical ballots, even more ridiculous lol
Been reading the protests have slowed quite a bit. Trump blinked on his redline and I’m afraid the time to strike is probably gone. I’m very much against foreign intervention, but in this case I was very much hoping to see those Islamic shitlords in Tehran get what they deserve.
What evidence is there of any threatening action from China or Russia towards Greenland? Neither one of them can invade their neighbor let alone Greenland. If the US was so concerned, why has every president, including Trump, allowed the bases in Greenland to continue to dwindle in troops numbers rather than bolstering them? He doesn't have to destroy 70 years of western alliances to put troops in Greenland. As the topic states, there's a long standing agreement in place that gives the US plenty of freedom to operate openly there.
Looks like a protest, not a riot. Where’s the issue?
quote:

Maybe someone can educate me on this, but why the hell are we talking about invading Greenland?
And why does everyone seem to be supporting this?
I thought we didn’t like wars?
What happened to America first?
I understand that there could be some gain to be made militarily, and they supposedly have oil.
Someone please tell me there’s a legitimate reason for all this. I’m trying to be supportive of this administration, but from the outside looking in, it looks like Trump has lost his mind

There isn't one. They are just enamored with the idea of the US flexing its muscle against weak nations and stealing their territory and resources. They don't care about legality (so much for the rule of law) or morality. That's why "Christians"/MAGA in America have always been the biggest hypocrites on the face of the earth.

If this was about security, they could open new bases in Greenland. Denmark has been supportive of this for over 70 years. But, we have one single base with dwindling numbers of troops because there isn't a pressing security issue.
Remains to be seen. I have no doubt there will be if they don’t surrender to Trump’s demands to handover their resources.
“what war? It only lasted 2.5 hours!”

Remember this line as this new plot of adventurism inevitably drags on.
Neocons better known as MAGAts are so delighted for us to colonize another country so we can extract their resources solely for the benefit of US oligarchs. Truly America First!

All those principles like self-determination for the people don’t mean shite to Americans. Just more bloodlust, raping, and pillaging of other nation’s resources.
