“Hey man, we hear you’ve been setting it on fire this season. We can’t wait to get you to Baton Rouge to see LSU football and Saturday night in Death Valley in person. The sky is the limit here at LSU. Yada yada… if you need anything at all don’t hesitate to call or text me. Have a great day!”

You had me at yada yada

One of the things Verge has going for him is that he loves LSU. His relationship with Saban helped land Kiffin. I have no doubt that he’s very aware that men’s basketball is bringing up the rear and a change needs to be made. There is precedent to make a midseason change, when John Brady was let go and replaced by assistant Butch Pierre.

they aren't good enough

That this roster isn't good enough is an indictment on a coach who requested and was given the money to spend in a last-ditch attempt to upgrade the roster. The clock is ticking on his time here.

So basically he’s making excuses for not getting Dillingham, who signed an extension, or DeBoer, whose team in still in the playoffs, or any current coach. Got it.

Jimmy wanted LSU to promote Frank Wilson. Don't be a Jimmy.

Two things: 1. Who is South CaroLLLLLLLLina playing in a bowl game? Oh wait, they finished 4-8 and aren't bowl eligible. 2. LSU will have fewer losses than South Carolina in 2026.

The game was broadcast by Mizlou, which meant that individual stations carried the game (CBS in Baton Rouge, ABC in New Orleans, NBC in Alexandria, for example) as opposed to a particular network (ABC, CBS or NBC).
How the Transfer Portal works:
1. Notify your school: A player tells their current school's compliance office they want to enter the portal.
2. Entry into database: The school has 48 hours to add the player's name and basic info (like sport, year, position) to the NCAA's online database.
3. "Free Agency" begins: Once listed, other college coaches can legally contact the player, offering scholarships and NIL deals.
4. Player control: Players can enter contact info or leave it blank, choosing to reach out to schools or let them come to them.
5. Decision time: Players can take their time to decide, but must enter during specific windows for immediate eligibility.
6. Commitment: A player commits to a new school, and their status updates in the portal (e.g., "matriculated").
But they’ll print playoff participant cups

Nuss treated his position as a business. It was strictly 9-5. There was no summer of 1000 passes, or whatever sunmer 2019 was called. He didn’t put in the extra work or the extra time, so he made himself susceptible to injury. In the process, he hurt his draft position. Granted, the O-line didn’t help. But he didn’t help himself.
Who I’m rooting for:
Alabama at Oklahoma: Asteroid
Miami at Texas A&M: Meteor
Tulane at Ole Miss: Cloverfield-type creature
James Madison at Oregon: Duh

Who I think will win:
Oklahoma
A&M
Ole Miss
Oregon

Most exciting football hire in LSU history. Nick Saban’s hiring didn’t move the needle with a lot of people.
I remember when he played football and basketball for Southern
