Lol. I wish I could tell you how far off you are on that but its pointless.
The shadows suck at Alex Box, but when its on the batter only, its manageable.
When it starts creeping towards the mound it becomes more of a factor.

Respectfully, I think the shadow issue is more so a talking point for announcers to fill the air than a real issue for hitters. If the shadow was flipped and casted on the pitcher to where it was harder to pick up the ball then yea that could be an issue. But the shadow being on the hitter, and the pitcher being in the light, I feel has little to no effect.

I'd like to firmly state that I believe we are just fine and still have one of the best lineups in the country.
I do wonder though, is the drastic change of pace from hitting against our own staff all preseason to then facing lower level arms play a role in this?
They go from facing 95+ or low 90's and nasty for 3+ weeks to turn around and face 88-91 and mediocre stuff. The approach at the plate completely changes when this is the case.
This is not a "if you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball" scenario either. Yea, we can say "Well if they can hit against our arms they should have no problem with lower level arms". And yea they should be able to adjust, but reality is, its not that easy.
That's my 2cents. I'll hang up and listen.

Agreed.
Its silly to say you wouldn't be happy drafting a guy like Love, but the downside is RB's sometimes don't translate well into the NFL. Would be tough loss if we spend a high pick on him and he fizzles out.

I didn’t want to be the one to correct that but yea, he said it last year either after their first loss or before the season. CJJ mentioned it on Mikd Up a while back. It’s a simple concept really, what do you have when shxt hits the fan? That’s what wins titles.
I ended up booking a tee time at Silverado. It is right next to where we're staying and looks like a decent course. They say its pretty short and I should get through in a reasonable amount of time.
Scottsdale - The Short Course or Rolling Hills?

Headed to Scottsdale next week, looking to play a quick round at one of these short courses. Rolling Hills seems to have very cheap daytime rates due to their focus being night golf, which is not an option for me. The Short Course - Mountain Shadows is still +$100 for 18 on a par 3 course which seems high to me but it looks like a cool experience that may be worth it.
Anyone have any opinions on these? Is Rolling Hills even worth playing in the day time?

I must have missed that. In that case Schmidt and Willams are most likely in a battle for Sunday, IF Williams gets the start tomorrow. Williams will have a slight edge in my opinion just to have a lefty in the rotation.

I have a genuine question from someone who hasn't watched an LSU basketball game since Tyrus Thomas played the Final Four year.
Do we actually have the caliber of talent necessary to do well in the SEC? As a baseball and football fan, I can tell every year that the guys we roll out there are all on par with the talent in the SEC. There are teams that you can tell just haven't been able to get the talent on campus and they get exposed every year. Are we an attractive enough place for high level bball players to commit to?

They move the ball slightly back on the same line. They want to take a divot every shot. If they did what you are saying they would take one divot on the first shot then pick every ball clean on all the following shots. Only Tiger doesn't take divots and thats only when he's hitting it well...IYKYK

College baseball is like watching the MLB from late August through October. Its all the best parts of MLB without 100 extra boring meaningless games. The fans are engaged from opening day to the final out of every season. These dudes are also throwing 100 mph and hitting +430' bombs with metal bats. It is just a more entertaining brand of baseball.
