re: MBB HC Board

Don't think anyone is sure he wants to coach again. Why leave Auburn to go somewhere else?

Thanks. I wouldn't mind the asst route either. Luke Murray from UConn is a name I've heard a lot, and Dan Hurley credits a lot of his success to him. I agree with you on the sunbelt/ovc, can't really afford to go mid major right now.

Pearl would def. make noise in the cbb world which we need badly. But I think he's done coaching

I think admin will be very serious. It's the first mbb hire for Verge, and it's a sport that he cares for. I'm excited for the entire process honestly. And I don't know anyone who thinks Verge did a poor job with the first hire he was tasked with.

I don't think he'll leave the Big East but I like him

MBB HC Board

Assuming a change is made... who are some names you'd like to hire? A few of mine are Jai Lucas (Miami) Jerrod Calhoun (Utah State) Bucky McMillan (A&M) Mark Byington (Vandy) Fred Hoiberg (Nebraska) I've heard of some poeple being big on Chris Beard (Ole Miss) as well. And of course, a lot of people's favorite, a return for Will Wade.
I would add Manny Diaz from Duke.
The ones who announce they're transferring are done, and signed. I don't think the transfer class falls out of the top 20, but other schools will certainly jump above us.

#1 transfer class for LSU MBB

Look, obviously I am glad McMahon and Co. are getting to work, but why are they advertising this class ranking like it's gonna stick? According to 247, LSU is in first place by 0.74, but Louisville is at 2nd place with ONE LESS commit than us. I remember months ago when LSU was still landing HS commits and they were advertising a top 3 class. Well fast forward to today, that class is now ranked 13th(which is good but it sucks the fun out of it) I don't understand if they're doing it because they think it'll make the fans more excited?

I'm very excited about him. Just hope he keeps his mojo and is able to adapt to the SEC
BK hasn't gone 3-15, 9-9, and 2-16 in the SEC. Unserious post.
I wasn't saying that, but Texas is another school getting rid of their coach after a short tenue because he wasn't producing. Why won't we do the same
Their admin just announced the firing of Rodney Terry. He's been there 3 seasons, and reached the big dance every season in some sort. Elite 8, Round of 32, and First Four. What is LSU doing???? More money to NIL sure, that'll help everything of course! BS!

Rotten? If anything, he's flourishing. Just took a team from the Southland, and won a game in the big dance, and just inked a six year deal with a team from the ACC. And his name is finally getting back in the national spotlight in a positive manner.
Yup. I like this. But I wonder if Villanova is going after him currently.

Great day for the Tigers

Baseball with a GREAT win! And Football landed a 4 star CB. Let’s have a great weekend!
I thought the same thing. LSU was towards the bottom when he got here, McNeese was as well. Took both programs to better heights and will do the same in Raleigh.

Great weekend. Excited for this weekend in Austin.

Other Men's basketball programs

Villanova just fired Kyle Neptune after 3 years. Iona just fired Tobin Anderson after 2 years. May I add that Iona was in their conference final this past saturday night and they were 15 points away from going back to the tournament since Pitino was in charge there. There's so many other programs getting rid of their coaches and we're just sitting here giving the current HC more $ to spend. Why not keep it saved until the new coach comes in next year?
I believe MM will decline any postseason invitation that is given
Yes. Everyone is, it's quite funny honestly. I think he stays one more year though
