"him turning into the best pitcher on the planet."

What dude? Skenes was already a great pitcher; LSU and the staff unlocked something else in him
quote:

Brady Neal, Alabama
Neal, the former LSU catcher, is having a career year in his second season with the Crimson Tide. He has seven home runs, a .375 batting average, and a .656 slugging percentage, setting career-highs in batting average and slugging percentage. His breakout campaign comes after he struggled in his first campaign in Tuscaloosa, only hitting .219 with a .336 slugging percentage last year.

quote:

Mikey Ryan, NC State
After hardly playing as a freshman at LSU, Ryan is hitting .317 with eight home runs and a .585 slugging percentage for the Wolfpack. As the shortstop, he’s helped NC State crack the top half of the ACC standings.

quote:

Ashton Larson, Texas
Larson is hitting .328 with a .512 on-base percentage in 25 starts for the Longhorns this spring. He only has five extra-base hits, but the junior outfielder’s consistency at the plate has helped Texas sprint out to a 28-7 record on the season

quote:

Ryan Costello, Maryland
Costello, who is from New Jersey, returned to the Mid-Atlantic over the offseason, and the decision has paid off. The former Tigers first baseman has 13 home runs and a .627 slugging percentage in 32 starts. He’s tied with projected No. 1 overall pick Roch Cholowsky for third place in the Big Ten in homers.

quote:

Ryan Kucherak, Northwestern
Kucherak broke out for the Wildcats in 2025, with 18 home runs and a .639 slugging percentage in 52 games. The power hasn’t been quite as prolific so far this season, but the shortstop still has seven homers and a .380 on-base percentage.

quote:

Austen Roellig, Arizona State
Roellig transferred to Utah after redshirting in 2024 and impressed as a first-year starter, hitting .341 with just 2 errors in 50 starts while primarily playing third base. He then transferred to Arizona State over the offseason and is hitting .291 with a .404 on-base percentage in 35 games.

quote:

Mic Paul, Washington
As the Huskies’ center fielder, Paul has struggled at the plate in his first season at Washington. He’s hitting .239 with one home run and a .345 slugging percentage in 34 games played.

Brennan Holt, Alabama
Holt has jumped around quite a bit after leaving LSU after his first year. The infielder started nine games at Oklahoma State in 2023 before spending two years at South Alabama, hitting .283 during his time with the Jaguars. Now at Alabama, Holt has become the Crimson Tide’s everyday second baseman and is hitting .281 with a .450 on-base percentage.

quote:

Blaise Priester, Southeastern Louisiana
Priester only had seven at-bats for the Tigers last season, but this year at Southeastern Louisiana, he’s started 32 games and has a .252 batting average with six home runs.

quote:

Zeb Ruddell, Louisiana Tech
After a promising first season at Louisiana Tech, Ruddell has taken a couple of steps back in his production. He’s hitting .173 with a .279 on-base percentage this year after the outfielder hit .278 with nine homers a year ago.

Kaleb Applebey, Austin Peay
Applebey never appeared in a game at LSU, but he has become a trusted arm in two seasons at Austin Peay. The right-hander had eight saves in 18 relief appearances in 2025 and has started five games this season.

Chandler Dorsey, UCF
Dorsey hasn’t pitched since mid-March, as the senior right-hander holds a 10.13 ERA in just 5? innings for the Knights. However, one of his six appearances came against LSU, and in that outing, he didn’t allow a run in 1? innings.

People shooting on this refuse to believe all of these guys made 10+ years in MLB, which is an accomplishment in itself. No, they are not all Hall of Famers, but they did get enough years to even be considered.

I can afford a 2k bill, but if I receive a 5+ bill, then things get sticky especially for a pet

It is accident + things like cancer then it I want wellness (regular checkups, shots, etc) it add more

Yeah, I don't think the wellness is worth it right now... I mean I'm paying $25 a month already but another 38 a month for wellness. So 68 a month for essentially basic shite and it doesn't even cover everything

Currently, the biggest pet bill I've had is 2k. I was able to pay the emergency bill, but I was worried about bigger issues.

So, luckily, I haven't had any issues, but I currently have three that have been known to have issues (even though my previous two had none), so I bought very basic plans.

How many people participate in this?
Currently looking for my 3, and it isn't bad, but you add a wellness plan, and it becomes extremely expensive.

For those of you who have it, do you have the wellness plan?

re: TSA Precheck……Flying Saturday

Posted by Skenes on 3/29/26 at 12:49 pm to
It depends. If it is a slow day, pre-check is available; if it is a busy day, it isn't available. Although they said funding is coming, it should improve with more people coming to work.

re: Delta Changes

I love Delta, which is why I became a member. Have always thought their planes and amenities were a step above everyone else. Taking my first flight of the year for Easter, and noticed the changes as this wasn't common last summer.

I always book Comfort+, so I rarely get that upgrade to first, but now with the multiple levels of Comfort+, I feel the CC should do more. It's more about comfort than status as I don't fly enough for that.

Delta Changes

I had been reading that Delta was changing Comfort+ and Main Cabin, but trying to book a flight today made me realize how fricking stupid it is. I have always booked Comfort+, but now there are Comfort+ Classic and Comfort+ Premium... You sit in the same area, but one supposedly gives you more miles + same day refund vs e-credit for Comfort+ Classic and fewer miles

The difference in price is almost $100 per flight, so then I looked at Main, and they have 3 tiers now, basic, classic, and premium where you still all sit together but you get more miles, choose seats, board earlier, refund eligible.

As a long-term Delta flier (joined SkyMiles in 2012) who takes 3-5 flights a year these changes aren't great at all. For what use to be standard as a Platinum SkyMiles Member is now costing more and there is less chances of a free upgrade.
Had someone fly out on Wednesday. I brought them for 3:30 (5a.m. flight). They said it took 33 minutes with TSA Pre and 45ish without. Picked them up Friday at 8p.m. and I didn't see a line.

I really thought this team was one of the best LSU teams after 10 games. Now I doubt they are Top 30

Health Advice

Currently 251.8 lbs

Looking to drop to 215-225, as that is where I always feel comfortable

Currently have a home gym with dumbbells up to 50lbs, a flat bench, an adjustable bench, and something to convert to kettlebells.

I also own a walking pad....

Currently I finish between 1600 and 24000 calories a day
I walk about 8000-10000 steps a day
I achieve 30 minutes of activity a day

I am debating a GLP-1 to help me shed lbs, as I feel I'm in a rut. On weekends, I'm around 2600 calories, but weekly I'm under the goal set by "MyFitnessPal."

I do home workouts 3x a week, usually for 30-45 minutes
I walk on my walking pad every day at 2mph for 20-30 minutes each day

Current supplements are:
Beet Root
fish Oil
Tongkat Ali
Monohydrate Creatine
