So, Exxon’s previous industrial infrastructure was dismantled?
My Asian son in law got a visit from ICE regarding his mother who had overstayed her visa by about 6 months. They also wanted some kind of proof that he was a citizen (been naturalized for 6 years) because he has an accent. They were a little rude at first but he just showed them his passport so no big deal. I don’t know if he was required to show them but why go looking for trouble.

As for his mother, she died before her visa expired, and they didn’t think to report it. One look at the funeral home obituary and they were on their way. I think his initial cooperation made the whole encounter relatively simple. He tells everyone about it now. To him, it’s just a great story.

(This occurred when Biden was president FWIW)

That is the pig whose trough is never full enough. Who gets even fatter if there is an insane $1.5T defense budget? (Besides our elected thieves)

We’re not doing it for security, claiming we need to get it before Russia and China
This is nothing more than a talking point. I am sure before long there is going to be intelligence reports on how they are planning to do just that though.

Trump 's only trying to torpedo NATO
Much more likely. The strategic advantage is fodder anyway.

Work with CIA and Mossad to get weapons to the protesters and provide them with valuable intel and let them do the dirty work on the streets
Aside from the fact that this usually has a bad outcome and leads to civil war, that puts a WHOLE lot of trust in civilians to become soldiers. Also, if we start bombing military bases, we have effectively declared war, no matter how people want to twist the definition. The chaos that follows would turn Iran into Iraq minus American troops IMO.

Obamas “red line” moment.
While the president is not Obama, this is a very fair comparison. Iran crossed that ‘line’. There are no clear/good options to follow through with that promise though. In a civil revolt, there is a blurry line between the good and the bad. Militia and foreign bad actors always seem to jump in the fishbowl.

I remember a time when entertainers…well, just entertained. Actually I don’t remember that because Jane Fonda was doing that political shite before I was born.

While this fascination with Greenland came out of left field, it seems more prudent to negotiate increased presence than any idea of annexation, as it seems they presently want no part of it.

Maybe the CIA will make attempts to arm the protesters via the Kurdish militia groups
CIA arming people is how most conflicts begin, and I can’t think of any places where that ended well. Somehow a seemingly organic ‘unarmed protest’ (coincidentally) began days after Bibi came with alarm bells about Iran and their weapons and the President made a public statement that they were going to be stopped.

Less than a year ago we were told that Iran was close to a nuclear weapon (again, with no proof) while the US was actually in the middle of negotiating with Iran. Bibi started a war in which America had to intervene, and the ‘threat’ ended (and soon after Bibi had to stand down). It seems whenever he comes a running about Iran the US ends up having to either step in on their behalf or get involved in some way.

Last year many on here were saying that Iran is a 3rd world country shite hole full of barbaric goat frickers and they wouldn’t mind if it was razed to the ground. Of course Iran is not that and neither are its people. Innocents are being killed but now there is a change in opinion that we must intervene (naturally no one wants to see people murdered).

This is not a nuclear plant. It is taking place in cities, streets, and homes. Bombs from above would result in mass civilian casualties no matter how precise they are. If somehow there is an overthrow of this government, whatever is next may not be any better. The only way this ends in my opinion is our direct involvement and that might go sideways very quickly. Bibi desperately wants Iran toppled or at war, he would just prefer someone else do it on his behalf.

There are other countries where thousands of innocent people are being killed, and the US has not intervened. If the US intervenes here, would it in the other places?

These people are unarmed and are being slaughtered left and right
This is happening somewhere else also.

I hope this is what they're doing. If law abiding citizens get tired of the harassment from ICE, they could become tired of living like Germans and start turning the invaders in
Curious, what does this mean?

IRGC is searching hospitals and arresting anyone with gunshot wounds and taking them out of hospitals even if they still need treatment
This where the promised assistance becomes a bit hairy if it is followed through with. Urban warfare would not be executed from the air IMO….Unless I misunderstood what protecting them meant.

I’m ready for the inevitable post during the NFL playoffs this weekend about these teams being younger than Indiana. Somebody will do it
That is better than someone saying that Indiana could beat the Raiders or some shite like that.

Mike Johnson doesn't need funds
I was speaking in general. But you don’t need an opponent to have a campaign fund or PAC. He is bought and paid for like everyone else.

At some point, they have to find a hill, because there have been several other hills that they ignored. I would love to see them fight for something that doesn’t fleece us while we are the ones actually living for the “other day”.

Just look at who funds their campaigns. This will always reveal the reason behind their actions. Congressmen are like drug dealers who get rich from selling subsidies supplied by taxpayers.
