Rhetorical question…who and what is the ncaa? The issue is schools refuse to follow the rules they themselves have made. A judge should never be involved. Courts ruled long ago that participation in sports is not a right. College sports could solve the transfer ordeal, eligibility issues, and play for pay today. Greed won’t allow it. Why did Ole Miss ignore their own rules? I know what they will say and it is true….no one else follows the rules. We eat our own.
It is t his fault. He is playing the game to get the most money. Universities could end this nonsense in one day. They do t have to take transfers, they do t have to pay players, and they don’t have to allow players who have been around more than 5 years play on their team. Courts rules long ago that sports participation is not a right. Greed is going to destroy it all. It always does. Might be a few years but eventually it will tank.

Portal is closed but could be transfer? Someone will take him if he is good enough. Also…when these things happened before people blamed the system. Poor players didn’t have money. Wasn’t he in the payroll?
In the minds of hog fans they are Nebraska in football and North Carolina and North Carolina in basketball. In reality they are in basketball what BYU is in football. They won 30
Years but weren’t relevant before or since. In football they are Oklahoma State but not as good currently.

I have now figured out Bucky Ball. Over extend your defense and give up layups while hoping you are incredibly good at the 3 point line. He will be gone in 3 years. In over his head.
re: Who was the better college QB Cam Newton, Tim Tebow, or Vince Young ?

Yeah if Inam picking a team and need one of those 3…easy decision. Tebow.

Willie Smith better than both. And John Brown is on that team.

The handshake line is so dumb. Was going to say the dumbest thing we do in sports but that would be a lie. No handshake line at any level. If you wanting shake hands that is fine. But stupid to have a line.
And then they would be sued and lose. They could also say if you transfer you sit for a year. Oh…they once did that. The rules mean nothing so no need to have any.
Agree with turning the clock back but some judge would shoot that down as well. I think we have found the problem. The ncaa inconsistency with transfers put us here with the portal. The waiver was a sign of weakness should have held firm but scared of racism tag.

Hog fans. In football they have the same tradition as Kentucky but think they are Nebraska. In basketball they are Nebraska but think they are Kentucky.
re: NCAA Lied about NIL. College Sports are More Popular Than Ever

Lot of popular things aren’t good. The portal suck. Current lack of structure with transfers and nil isn’t sustainable. Nil isn’t the issue…transfers is the issue. But nil in its current pay for play with no controls will come crashing down at some point.
Very good player but not in that class with Bo Herschel and Earl.
re: Nate Oats is a good man

Pat Forde thinks men can call themselves women and play women sports. But I do think Nate Oats is scum who can really coach. And I do think this is just another example of how we have lost our way in sports…below the pro ranks.

People showing up and cheering for their team made up of students from their school. No transfer portal or NIL but fighting and cheering for the home team.
re: Cody Campbell (TTU super booster): Alabama, Auburn too poor to compete

And the courts will strike it down.
Let me count the ways and reasons it is bad now. Shot clock is too short. 35 was better and 40’or 45 would be perfect. Transfer portal and constant movement of players. Continuous stoppage to check the monitors. To me…those are the big 3 and the are huge.
But arky used to be good when they got to play Rice every year and every other bad team in the swc. Tradition is what they have. Them and Bama.
15 years ago it was Florida State. All over the country. Now it is Alabama.
