As a Catholic I am ashamed of what is coming from Pope Leo although I had the same issue with Benedict and Francis - living the Gospel and US foreign policy should not be mutually exclusive propositions - being for peace and how you achieve peace are two totally separate propositions - if you simply take at face value Pope Leo's position, military conflict is never appropriate to achieve peace even if the blood of a few bad actors is shed to spare the blood of thousands or hundreds of thousands - under Leo's way of thinking, stopping Hitler was not a noble and moral cause - the fact of the matter is that sometimes diplomacy does not work especially if you are dealing with a religious death cult who openly proclaims that death to non-believers is their mission

Sam is fairly consistent - he has played very well in the majors - his day is coming to wear the green jacket - the guy can putt lights out - handles himself like a professional and he is very good ambassador for LSU

this is so fricked on so many different levels - first, this is loser mentality - you set a standard and you ALWAYS play to that standard - I doubt Saban ever told a team that it was ok to lose because of what a prior team had accomplished the year before - this current team being given a pass because of what some other team accomplished the year before instills the exact opposite of what you want to instill in a winning program - second, the ship of giving coaches a pass for an off year sailed years ago when coaches' salaries went through the roof - to whom much is given much is expected - Johnson is being paid way to much to be given a pass for an off year

connect the dots - Woodward was ushered out not because of Kelly but because he flat refused to bring Wade back to LSU to the utter disdain of certain members of the BOS - Verge is made the AD because he is a yes man for the BOS - we then get McNeese near do wells, Light in His Loafers Rousse and Roid Boy Schroyer, to get Wade back to LSU - to satisfy the Temple (and others) contingent on the BOS, JJ is being hired - waiting on Rob Abernathy as well

Woodward was a professional - while you can criticize how he ran them, he had at least run the athletic departments at two major institutions - LSU is an absolute arse clown show right now from the BOS to the president to the athletic director - this guy Rousse is an absolute tool from McNeese - Ausberry's own kids rebuffed LSU - he has no clue how to run an athletic department and will forced out within a year
