Planting persimmons on deer land.

Early season the deer are all over the persimmons at our land in the delta. We don’t have a lot but if you want to see deer early season you can hang by the persimmons.

That got me thinking about planting more. I’ve done research online and know it is feasible in my area but just wanted to check with the OB if anyone had any tricks or tips related to such. Wasn’t sure if there were any easier or better alternatives that I wasn’t aware of.

The kids have been banging on them in felsenthal. Club around Dewitt has been killing all greens.

Yea that would put them on good track for the other river clubs. 350-400 does would probably help. A river club up north had a “doe day” where they invited out some hunters for the hungry to skin the deer. They ended up killing off 101 does in one day/night. I guess the problem with them is that if they are eaten up with CWD and nobody wants to fool with them.

What is winter quarters doe/buck ratio based on their drone survey ? How many total deer ?

I have seen some survey numbers from winter quarters all the way up to Beulah and Merigold and interested to see how it compares.

Dam hope they show up for you. The 4 or 5 I spoke to in NELA seem to be holding a good amount. Mainly teal, spoons, and greasy gads.

Getting reports of a bunch of birds in the area. Youths had a good hunt last week. Expecting limits this Saturday. Good luck to all!

Lol I agree- I’m just stating facts. Course conditions at MCC are better I just get bored playing there after a while

NOCC doesn’t allow blacks and MCC does. Both nice courses post upgrade. NOCC has more “character” to the course I would say

If you are paying for farm bureau, State Farm, etc.. then you should be able to talk to your agent to assist. There may be some things where you have to talk to the adjuster but for mundane shite and questions you have, your agent should be able to assist. If he is just taking your money you should move to a more active agent

I agree brother. Don’t know what I’d be doing if I didn’t hunt, fish, and golf. More people need to touch grass. Too many soy boys sitting around drinking, smoking, and jerking off.

If you already got Quivara on the books, I would go play Palmilla. They have 27 holes. I knew it was in and out of a renovation last time I was down there so want to check on that.

Yea anything around Houston is going to be high if it’s worth a dam. Need to go west of Dallas or into south Oklahoma and can find some good options. Those trips would all put you around 5-6 hrs tho
