National Championship game > quarter final game.

re: CFB Blue Blood Rankings

Only the top 6 are blue bloods. The rest of the list is that next tier. If a team isn't a blue blood now they can't join it for the foreseeable future until many many years last. That's not to say those other teams aren't great programs because they are but not on the level of the top 6.

They played two games that mattered and Ohio State won the game that mattered the most...
Lost a controversial playoff game in 2019, made the natty in 2020, won the Rose Bowl in 2021, took Georgia to the wire in 2022, 2023 was disappointing but a season most teams would kill for, 2024 won the natty, and this year made the playoffs with a bye and lost to a pretty darn good Miami team. He is one of the best coaches in the country.

We will see how the other teams do. Last year Boise and ASU shouldn't have had byes, UGA was starting a backup QB and Oregon played the eventual champs. Ohio State moved the ball the first half but the pick 6 was devastating and Sayin not taking the easy first down with his legs for a shorter FG didn't help. Miami was the better team tonight and deserved to win.
Good game Miami. Disappointed on how the season ended. Being ineffective on offense in the first half was a killer but Miami deserved to win tonight
Yeah this decade but not all time.
Top 15 Utah with 11 wins beating a 7 win and mediocre Nebraska team isn't a flex.
Only Bama and OSU are bluebloods. The next closer would be UGA in that next tier.
No they wouldn't because Ohio State got better as the year progressed as well. Arch was starting his 3rd or 4th game and Ohio State was starting a RS Freshman making his start and any meaningful snaps week 1. Its a 38-20 type of win for Ohio State.

Kentucky gave Texas a better game than Ohio State. Yet Ohio State pretty much mailed that effort in after getting up one score in Columbus.

Ehh week 1 vs week 7 but Ohio State never trailed against Texas. Kentucky never had the lead against Texas.

This is a reminder that CFB didn't start 5 years ago...

LSU has 3 NC's this century (2003,2007,2019)

The gophers have no NC's since 1960!

Just a reminder that CFB didn't start in 2003 and that it's Minnesota with 7 national titles to 4 for LSU.
Each year the committee is different as people leave and others join. Texas wasn't dinged for the Ohio State loss. They didn't make it because they lost to a bad Florida team and got boatraced by Georgia. They also looked mediocre in a number of their wins over bad teams.
Every team needs some luck to win a national championship. Saban and Bama had a lot of luck to get to those games but to their credit they took care of business more often than not when given a chance.
Last year you had two teams that wouldn't have a first round bye this year. PSU and Texas were better and more talented than BSU and ASU. Oregon ran into a buzz saw and Georgia was playing a back up QB, though 2014 Ohio State proved that a back up can be made ready to play. I wouldn't put alot of stock into how teams with a bye played last year
His O line isn't good and his receivers aren't that great. Nico is their number 1 but on alot of teams Nico wouldn't be WR1. He has alot of room for improvement but has been decent this year.
There is a reason why Bill Burr going off on the people of Philadelphia 20 years ago is my favorite video of all time.
Why are people upset. Is that Kyler guy dead or something?
Ohio State 27 Miami 9
Indiana 24 Alabama 17
Georgia 38 Ole Miss 20
Oregon 41 Texas Tech 38
