Without reading the link, which is do you think is most punishment, death or living in a cage for 50 years or so?

Depends on the cage, maybe?

If there's a hell and an eternity, does 50 years matter one way or the other?

Sometimes, to me, death seems too easy of a price.

Now, if torture was an option...
I straight up admit that I'm concerned about the effects of data centers, and AI.

Socially, I wouldn't argue for them for 1 second. And hope in general, that they're not as "successful" and as life changing as many predict.

That said, my portfolio has a handful of businesses in it that I would be okay if they disappeared. I'll just have to sleep thinking that I'm doing the best I can to provide for me and my family amidst the world we live in. I don't think my little investments will change them in any way.

Sometimes it sucks though.
Someone mentioned rainy day events in another thread discussing individual stocks.

For me, it typically takes about 2 days to go from owning a stock to having it liquid enough to spend.

Car needs a $9000 repair? Put it on a credit card, sell some stock, pay off the credit card.

That said, I like to have plenty in my checking account too, but I guess I haven't thought that I couldn't invest it for any particular reason. So, maybe my brain works exactly the same and I haven't verbalized it.

Am I talking to myself? Again?
Thanks to BB88 over the last few months, staying positive. I was quite concerned when we were in the 80's and 90's, that we'd ever see 100 again.

Your constant reminders of good things happening kept me in the game, and I'm thankful.

Keep up the good work, please.

I'm told that some hospitals, ER's and trauma centers are better equipped for different situations. I'm not even smart enough to know the situations. I guess gun shot wounds, heart attacks, severe cuts, burns or poisons?

Open to suggestions. Just seems like having a plan on where to take someone before it happens would be smart.
Lots of good videos on youtube on the subject. It's an interesting life question. Here's a few points to consider:

-When will you be the healthiest to spend your money?
-Will getting a monthly check help you mentally adjust to still spending your money even though you don't go to work any longer?
-Will our government SS still be around when you hit 82 years old, which is typically the break even point for lots of folks?
-Will the extra money matter to you at age 82ish?
-Do you need it now? Some folks don't even get the luxury of a decision.
-How long will you live?
-The surviving spouse gets the larger of the two checks when one dies.

Fun stuff to consdier.

I recently decided to take mine at 62, and then at the last minute decided to put it off until age 63 so I could take some cap gains and hopefully still be in a lower tax bracket.

Congrats if you recently retired. It's a whole new life adjustment.
This was only relevant when Biden was president.

I don't know the answer, but based on the letter that Iran released to the American people that I heard reviewed, they're expecting a ground invasion. If they're right... we might wish we'd sold everything but oil stocks come Monday.

I wish our leader would back down and retreat. It seems like a no win situation for the US now, and even worse if we press on. My .02

Meanwhile, I held on and will be on the ship.

Seeking to uplist to NASDAQ, but may stay on the CSE even after uplisting. In the process of re-domiciling to the US, and expect uplisting to happen shortly after re-domiciling is complete. Now looking at July for uplisting, and if not July, then within Q3. Expects revenue this year.

There are some good and some not-so-good takeaways here.

Thanks for the summary.

Unfortunately, it seems like KB can't be trusted when it comes to timing regarding forecasting anything.

I guess if they start the nuclear weapons development again in years to come, we will send a fresh batch of tomahawks and B-2 bombers.

I'd suggest that the Iranian leaders thought of that while attempting to negotiate for the last year. I'm guessing they plan to inflict enough pain to the region to dissuade that from happening again soon. Just my guess.

Unfortunately, Trump is only one of the three parties that gets a say as to when this over.

But he'd be a good start.

That's very noble of you, my friend.

If your money and your ego were the only two things at stake here.

There were no highlights.

They stated that they couldn't disclose any new information, as that would be "selective disclosing".

As stated previously:

Revenue expected in 2026.
Facility near Houston announcement soon
2026-2027 should be a takeoff years (I think she used that word)
Nasdaq announcement in works
Acetylene contract still in works

I appreciate your optimism, but I think expecting news of "how many Hyperions" is just... too optimistic.

Hope I'm wrong.

This may or may not be the right answer but all I do, if I have no long term gains, I sell the newest shares whether a loss or gain, to save the older stuff to one day have them convert to Long Term versus Short Term.

It's frustrating, but they're seeing their portfolios yo-yo way more than ours.

I'm still convincing myself that we're in good shape for the next month or 3.

After that?? Who knows?

Is there a way to sell the later-bought higher-priced lots only? How are short term capital gains taxes figured on partial-sell actions?

On your trade page, you should have the option to sell First In, First Out OR Last In, First out.

What's yalls thoughts on McLaren?

I haven't heard any reports on why neither started than reliability issues.

So they get the PU from Mercedes, and then develop their own OS for the car? And then they develop the software on top of that?

Think the problem is in one of those systems?

Crazy that Cadillac has this figured out better than them, eh mate?
