I realize O-Line was bad last year but having Nuss with limited mobility and injury and not wanting to run because of both added even more pressure to the O-Line. Under the new circumstances with Levitt with next level mobility when the line breaks down, factoring also having to guard against the run, Scheme, and Play Calling, the line will be grossly be improved even if the players are not on paper technically better.

I think this is a massive oversimplification. Of course a mobile QB can help, but I saw multiple times last year we would have edge rushers coming off the snap without anyone touching them multiple plays in a row.

Could Nuss have played better, sure, but that was one of the worst offensive line units I’ve ever seen in major college football.

I might encourage you to consider whether or not we should scrutinize when a LEO does it differently than when a civilian does it. I don’t understand why these are being compared in the same light. Carrying deadly force professionally comes with a higher level of responsibility.

We just went 7-6 homie

Anyone that thinks it’s inhumane for a tiger to be in a cage for say 1.5 hours, and say 7 days out of 365 days in a year…is an absolute pussy. My cat hated to be put in a cat carrier to be taken to the vet. But guess what, he did it.

Please tell me that you’re joking. There’s no way you’re so ret**ded that you think a house cat and a mfing tiger are comparable.
Congratulations you now have one of the stupidest takes I’ve ever seen on here.

Love visiting Mike. Think it’s awesome that LSU has a great habitat for him. Yall are f’ing r****ded if you are calling a solitary hunter a pussy bc it doesn’t want to be trotted out in a cage in a loud stadium for games. Tigers and buffalo and eagles are completely different animals with completely different behavior.

Is Charlie Weis Jr our new OC?

I’ve seen some places say he got on the plane and others not mention him among the staff joining LK. Does anyone know for sure?
While you obviously aren’t going to win games without talent, we spent a ton of $$$ on portal players this year — I think we clearly showed that without great coaching and structure it doesn’t mean shite

Prime Drew Brees wouldn’t fix the problems with this team

Hindsight is what it is but man just a change in QB's at any point earlier in the season could have been a MAJOR improvement in LSU's record.

People like you should be banned from posting. No hate on MVB but he threw 3 passes right into defenders hands that were simply dropped. He struggles to get the offense to the line without penalties. He performed arguably worse than Nuss against one of the worst defenses in our conference. People have been shitting on Nuss, but this teams issues are so much deeper than the QB.
Same people that say they’re pro free market expect a top tier coach not to try to get as much money as he can.

I swear if we took half tRant’s suggestions on coaching hires we’d be relegated to the sunbelt
Just for comparison, Lincoln Riley is making like 11-12 million dollars a year. The buyout structure isn’t public but rumored to be 80-90 million in 2024 : LINK

the reality is the guaranteed money gives them incentive to choose one school over another. If the market dictates that’s what they’re worth, then sure

Ofc I’m not saying throw money out for no reason, but these numbers are the reality of modern day college football
The number of times I’ve seen people on this board complain about coaches salaries, when they have absolutely 0 part in paying it is bonkers to me. That’s the donors’ problem.

As long as you have donors willing to foot the bill, big schools will always do whatever they can to get an edge in hiring.

I don’t necessarily care about the splashiest hire, just hope we make a great hire. Geaux Tigers.

We have the dumbest fan base and I don’t think it is particularly close either.

Retweet. The average LSU fan is a little too confident sharing their opinion.

We don’t necessarily need a Louisiana person, we just need someone that embraces Louisiana. Geaux Tigers, hope we hire the best coach of my lifetime.

I’m on my way to Cane’s

Meet yall in the Sonic parking lot. Anyone want a box combo?
Of course losing sucks, but it’s more about being fed mixed messages about the health of QB1 while simultaneously crafting an offensive gameplan forcing the QB to drop back 60% of the time into 8/9 man coverages.

Not to mention he absolutely shows his arse to a reporter questioning the offense while doing nothing to fix the obvious problems.

Good coaches are able to make their team improve through the year, we’re 5 games in and I think you can argue that we’re worse now than game 1.

But don’t worry we’ll get the same coach speak all year while we continue to have the same problems.

Totally agree. Top to bottom just a poor performance. I think we still should have won the game, but I don’t think Nuss has thrown a good deep ball down the seam in stride all year. You mix that with how he’s shrinking away from any contact and short arming darn near every throw, obviously something is up.

He’s right that it’s not just the quarterback’s fault, but as a coach you gotta do something to help him out.
