If he was in a liberal state or city, he'd be arrested for violence and threatening violence against the pedo.
Stupid-assed comments like this one do nothing but detract from his brave and selfless behavior.

HIPPA. We just gotta trust it. Women getting full term abortions dont need to name their doctors.
and it is irrelevant to this discussion.

"Video Two" looks very much like he was not hit by the vehicle.
Hyper-Partisans on each "side" believe ONLY the video that supports their preconceptions.
Neutral observers acknowledge that we just do not KNOW at this point whether he was hit or not. This annoys the above-mentioned Hyper-Partisans.

Biggest villain in this saga is the mom.
1. Hooked up with thug.
2. Allowed thug to be around child.
3. Lied for thug.
4. fricked-up prosecutor's case.
Sorry, but the thug is just the scorpion crossing the river. Thugs gonna thug. Mom should have known better.

EDIT:
I want to see a photo of the mom. $100 says that she has her share of trashy tattoos as well.

The silver lining is that there is no way this guy keeps clean for the 5 years of probation. He will almost certainly end up in prison or maybe just get murdered.
He fricks up in one way or the other within a year, and prosecutor files an MTR. (You KNOW that the prosecutor AND the judge are just WAITING for that inevitable frick-up).
He is in prison within 18 months.

Rather than risking a "not guilty" verdict arising from weak evidence, the prosecutor agreed to a plea deal that at last keeps this guy away from kids for five years.quote:
Okay, but why the lax sentence? Or was that part of the plea?
The judge is quoted as saying that she did not "like" the deal, but that she understood it ... given the evidentiary problems.
The mother put the judge and the prosecutor in this quandary. No one else. They are being attacked by imbeciles who cannot be bothered to read the story, because SHE was a horrible parent who failed to protect her child.

It is obviously not ideal, but sometimes you just get a shite case and do the best you can with it.

If we want to militarize Greenland tomorrow, we can do it under existing treaties, and realpolitik says that no one is going to stop us or dislodge us, if we do so.

Of these three, the American (Pippa?) raised perhaps the most-sensible explanation for acquisition of Greenland ... that being the need for land (actual dirt) for receiving stations within the arctic circle, for geo-synchronous communications purposes.
She mentioned Svalbard (Norwegian Island archipeligo) as the current Western hub, but it is vulnerable due to the need for undersea cable to transmit the data down here on Earth to Europe and North America. By contrast, cables from Greenland to the US mainland would be much easier to keep secure.
All in all, that was 45 minutes well-spent.
