re: Nussmeier vs Leavitt Comparison
Posted by LSUtigerNVegas9 on 1/17/26 at 11:48 am to captdalton
Easy answer is he’s mobile and willing to run. Another thing is he may not even be the starter come September. If he isn’t fully healed or back to 100% of his previous self I doubt Lane would start him. Longstreet would probably be the starter then.

Unlike you, it’s not the middle of the night where I live. LSU fans don’t need to melt, Ole Miss fans are doing it for us. Y’all really did think yall were in a better spot with “piss drunk Pete” didn’t yall? Reality is starting to set in isn’t it? Y’all just lost y’all’s leading tackler from a team that’s NOW coached by his old coordinator. Back to the basement yall clowns go!

You’re right. A school DOESN’T get to decide where a player transfers to. Keep on melting though buddy! :spank:
Next, even if he tanks yall can’t take squat from him! The courts say so! Are yall willing to take that chance? Y’all weren’t willing to let Lane coach yall and that was the best shot yall had at winning a natty for the first time in 60+ years. Good luck for the next 60+ years sitting in the basement of the SEC where yall had been up until Lane rescued yall!

I’m not melting. I’m just giving you facts. It’s not my fault you don’t like facts. Facts don’t care about your feelings!

Ok smart a**! I’m a combat vet and can tell you from FIRST HAND experience, if you want out of the Army you can ABSOLUTELY get out if it’s before you finish AIT. You’ll be discharged with an “general” discharge. Don’t try to be an idiot if you don’t have to. You especially, always have to be right. Well guess what buttercup? Alabama is trending towards 1980-2009 territory. Y’all don’t have the NIL to keep your good players. Keep recruiting those 5* out of HS. You’ll see, they’ll leave you in a year or two to go play for a competitive team, which in a year or two yall will no longer be. And yall won’t pull Kiffin even if yall REALLY wanted him. He’s not leaving a program that he’s putting “belt to a**” to rebuild that inbred program! Same way Saban was NEVER leaving Alabama to rebuild LSU. Get used to dealing with ALL the LSU fans’ BS. Y’all more than any other program deserves what’s coming!

Did you watch Curne play?

Ok. Without our new HC and Offensive staff as well as at least 11 starters sitting out. Oh well, another year down and another year closer to another natty! Remember, Ed O put belt to a** to Kirby and UGA. We’re coming to claim SEC supremacy! As far as the Bama “tards” go, you’re already on the decline and LSU needs not worry about yall anymore! Get used to 1980-2009. It’s about to happen again while yall watch all your SEC brethren win nattys. Next thing you know Bryant Denny will be the home of the “SEC” chant. Riding on the coattails of programs that are better than they are.

Well, we stole both of the talent evaluators yall have used the past 3 seasons. So either way yall are a little brother program. Watch Laliga. We pretty much pulled a Barcelona/Real Madrid move on yall. Which only illustrates what the media and LSU fans have been saying. Y’all are tier 2. We take what we want from yall. When yall do get things right and are consistently better than us over a 3/5 year period we snatch your soul.

You definitely won’t be asking that question about the rankings this coming up season. So get out all the trolling you can. “Piss drunk Pete” isnt leading yall anywhere but the basement of the SEC. That shouldn’t be a big transition considering that’s where yall have been for the vast majority of the last 60 years.
re: So LSU just gets who they want?
Posted by LSUtigerNVegas9 on 1/14/26 at 1:09 pm to ManBearSharkReb
We’ve won a real natty more recently than Alabama so there’s that. What’s it been for yall now? It’s coming up on almost 10 years right?
re: Hard to get excited about any player coming when they're only there for the money, not LSU
Posted by LSUtigerNVegas9 on 1/12/26 at 6:48 pm to homemadeshine
It will ALWAYS be different from the NFL because the players have a choice of who they want to sign with. In the NFL they have the draft. Yes, they have free agency but it’s not the same. I didn’t like it at first but the last 2-3 years I’m starting to get back into it. You just have to realize where the priorities are now. Older players who have proven production. It’s not all HS recruiting anymore. Which LSU is adapting to and will put their own spin on it. LSU will ALWAYS have the structure in place to succeed in CFB. They just need a coach to get the mix right.

That’s the only way ND wins anything. All but one of their nattys was awarded to them. They’ve NEVER really had to win it on the field. It’s not surprising since the start of the Bowl Alliance/BCS/CFP they have 0 nattys. Back when the NCAA decided who got to play on TV and nattys were awarded and not won on the field they out pace pretty much everyone.

Did he commit and I missed it?
re: Anyone else feel like Clark committing means it’s Leavitt?

That’s the QB and team captain LSU needs to lead the team. A straight dawg. Wants to compete and takes NOTHING for granted.
re: Who has best odds for being our 3 starting WR?

I think Jackson Harris is going to be a beast in this offense. He’s big, fast and can high point a ball. He’s averaged almost 20 yards a catch and had 12 TD. I’ll go with Harris, Jayce Brown and Watkins (if he commits). We’ll run a lot of 4 receiver sets though. Especially, with Green as a TE/WR.

Plus it seemed BK loathed playing younger guys.
re: Why this portal season is different

How can the NCAA say what someone is worth on the open market AND enforce it without a CBA? Especially if it’s an outside company using the players’ NIL for marketing and advertising purposes. Big companies spend millions and millions a year on marketing. The only leg I can see the NCAA having to stand on if it’s a donor that doesn’t own a company. As long as the donor that’s forking over the NIL owns a company and can pay for it, why wouldn’t it stand in court? It’s for marketing purposes. Also, not all marketing goes well and ends in profits. So the NCAA can’t argue that. It happens all the time. A good lawyer would eat that argument up.

Because the clearing house hasn’t really denied anyone of value. Just wait until they do. Especially, if it’s a billionaire, well connected donor.

Well, the way the Supreme Court has stated their intentions, short of a CBA and Union, they’ll rule in favor of the player. They don’t like the NCAA restrictions on what a player can make. Take random athlete A. He just sues and says I didn’t agree to the House settlement. That was made without my approval. I didn’t have a union rep or representative making my feelings known. Now, I’m being given the opportunity to make x amount of money and the NCAA is restricting it. Remember, the NFL has a monopoly and it’s allowed because pretty much all players are in the union and sign off on all CBA matters. The NFL has actually lost in court to the USFL for being a monopoly.
This is from Google
Legal Challenges: The settlement faces ongoing scrutiny and potential challenges, with some arguing it doesn't fully resolve fairness issues.
It WILL be challenged and the players will win. Just like before.

Until someone sues and wins. The NCAA has already lost multiple times trying to stop kids from making money. The courts will overturn that BS with the quickness. They’ve already said you can’t limit how much a kid can make. With no union or CBA, the first time they deny a player they’ll sue and win.
