He is in a city that is full of foreigners/illegal immigrants. He might win a few more cities around the country, but no way he wins a national election. I don't know the actual data, but I'd guess that NYC is largely foreign in terms of the population there...not just that, but a LOT of democrats that live off of handouts.

I wish they would bring Wade back, and continue spending what they spend now on NIL. He couldn't compete without a talent advantage. The SEC now and when WW was coaching is much different.

They matter, but not as much as one might think. LSU is in the SEC. If you don't have strong interior play, you aren't winning. They failed in evaluations in that area for sure.

I'm not defending the current coach. I'm just saying we aren't going to be relevant in men's basketball until/if we ever decide to get serious about it. Not many universities can be good in all sports, and LSU is pumping a lot of the "basketball" money to Kim. There are a few exceptions as Florida has been pretty good in the 3 major sports if you look at overall results this century....with a couple football titles, deep runs in baseball, and a couple of basketball championships. I don't have the answer and not debating whether those two are good coaches...just the fact we aren't going to spend enough. I believe that this team was a competitive team if you had both Reed and DJ...but certainly not championship type.

I've never seen more of an embarrassment of a fanbase that the way OM fans have handled this. It isn't just the fans either, the administration there is like functioning at a very poor level. It is as if the entire fanbase and administration is made up of 16 year old girls...jilted girls. Lane was great...then he had nothing to do with their success. Now they are gobbling up some of LSU rejects or poor performers and acting like they are raiding the LSU team....plus they stole Wilson...lol. They are overpaying for everything they are doing LSU related, and it is out of bitterness/jealousy. Let them. The chickens will come home to roost, and it will be 65 years and counting since they won anything.

It isn't just Minnesota....Wisconsin is bad too, as well as Arizona and Nevada....and obviously Georgia too. That's just naming a few. PA is probably pretty bad too.

I hear you guys saying this all the time, but I don't really see that, outside of maybe a couple trolls. Most people realize that he isn't getting it done, it is just many of these same people actually have a life and more emotional intelligence than you and your ilk have. It is really that simple. We know that he is gone at the end of the year. I have serious doubts though that LSU is willing to invest in men's basketball, so I really don't get too worked up over it. I USED to be a basketball junkie...but that was years ago. All baseball and football now.

Can you imagine Jeffries or Newsome as President. They would absolutely be no better than Biden or Harris, and most likely would be even worse....and yet the Dems are cheering them on, knowing full well the goal is to tear it all down and rebuild. You must have me confused with another poster. I don't really care if he comes back or not. I'm not a fan of his, because I honestly don't think he is that good of an on the court coach. The advantage he had was the talent we got for him paying players to come before it was legal. Yes, I know most did it, but it is a lot more level playing field now and you actually need a strong bench coach, imo. That said, he is better than what we appear to have right not for sure. I am not a MM guy....but it is ashame we lost Reed and then DJ...basically our two most important players.

I think you are going to see that at OM now too with Golding. Used to it took a couple of years to lose talent from a prior regime change...but with NIL, the jury is still out. On one hand you can rebuild quickly, on the other hand, you can lose it all quickly too. The almighty $$ is all that drives it now though..see Indiana. I'll never understand though some of these wealthy people just basically giving away that much money..there is no ROI right? Other than the joy of seeing their team win. Usually people in that position are somewhat frivolous with their money. I still don't see it as sustainable long term...but who the hell knows really.

I don't think any of these QBs looked good against good competition. The kid we just lost to TT...his stats against good competition were terrible too. We get the right system and we will be fine regardless of who he brings in at QB, as long as we get a couple of good OL in the portal, ideally about 4 with starting experience. I honestly believe it is the system that makes these QBs look good that Lane has had recently....obviously they need to have some talent too.
