Wonder how God feels about dealing with enemies??? Go back and read the Old Testament. Should clear it up for ya.

If my mind wasn't so clouded by the gospels.

Forbes on Hegseth Prayer

Bad look from the folks who want to keep things biblically pure.

Unforced errors.
There are 2 other people dead other than Lauren Bullis. Let's not forget about them.
My ancestors who were in the U.S. fought for the CSA. They fought to preserve their culture and their way of life. Their culture and way of life allowed men to own other humans as slaves because these other humans were considered to be lesser.

My ancestors in the CSA were painfully wrong.
Life is cheap and most Americans dont care about people who live on the other side of the world, dont speak the same language and dont worship the same God.

Harsh but true.

What are they fussing about?

They are fussing because it is violence in France that wasn't done by Christian, white Frenchmen.

No morals involved. Only tribalism.
I would have cheered kids doing that to an effigy of Dementia Joe or BHO. It's not directly a moral issue. It is us vs. them tribalism and we both play the same game.
To be fair, he does give the Christmas message every year and an Easter Message is not done by the Sovreign most years.
This where I depart from other dominionists and Christian Reconstructionists.

They believe in creating a theonomy as the necessary precursor for Christ's return. I do not agree. Christ will return on his timeline, not ours.

My desire for theonomy is because it is the right, good and proper way to glorify God and to put His will at the forefront of everything.
The fact that this very conservative board centered in a very conservative part of the country has given this post (so far) 185 up votes to 277 down votes, does not bode well for the midterms.

Sad, but true.

In this room, you know that's not correct.

It's sad that I get called unAmerican for defending freedom and the Constitution while people like you post this vomit.

It's not that you are ignorant....it is obvious that is not true. It's not even that you are wrong. You just root for the wrong team....or more accurately, you say things the other team feels will stand in the way of them winning.
I dont think most right-thinking citizens would object to the trains running on time, figuratively.
The time for passivity has passed. If the United States is to survive, the Caterpillar that is the 1789 Constitution has to cocoon and remerge as something new.
Congress has effectively waived their authority on this and many other important issues facing this country. We elected Trump to fix our problems by hook or crook. If SCOTUS drops the ball on this, then Trump should ignore the ruling.

He controls the issuance of passports. He controls who is deported. Will it cause a "Constitutional Crisis"? Absolutely.

But this is where Trump is best. He focuses on a stable issue that he doesnt like...creates chaos and then solves the chaos by remaking or reframing the issue in a way that is better for America.

He said he wanted to be a dictator for "one day", America needs that day to be soon. He is the onl6 one who can fix the problem.

I think one would have to define terms more specifically first. When someone says violence in politics, do they mean attacking or killing someone during a civil/peaceful debate on ideas? Are they referencing global politics where hot conflicts are involved? It's too broad of a statement to address without further clarification.

I would argue both. I'm not trying to morally justify the former, but it would be shortsighted to not see that the killing of Lincoln or Kennedy did not have political benefits for those who opposed them.

On the other side, the Civil Rights movement leaders knew that their best option was to showcase the violence of those who opposed them. Had the racists and segregationists not physically attacked peaceful protesters with some regularity, the progress of that movement would have been a lot slower.
Whenever an act of political violence happens, there is always a lot of handwringing and people piously saying that such actions have no place in our society.

Two threads over the last few days made me think about this: the one on the origin of Rights and the Pope talking about war.

Although it should ideally be a last resort, violence or the threat of it, always had and always will have a very prominent place in politics.

As some in the Rights thread corrrectly stated, while God gives the rights, He does not make a habit of enforcing them. Here on Earth might makes right.

I would argue that the most effective political change in this country and the world involves violence, whether on the winning or losing side.

Tell me how I am wrong.

Your answer is just a bunch of mumbo jumbo. Those aren't accomplishments. That's your own personal wish list projected onto Trump.

I disagree. Those are very concrete goals spoken about in a general way. Yes, those are on my wish lists with others. Trump has made some progress but he isnt there yet. If he doesnt manage to keep the progs out of power from the midterms it will all be for naught.

Like what?

Tearing down the norms of governmental action and power. Doing everything in his power to separate the woke progs from political power. Clearing the way for this to be the Christian nation that it was intended to be.

I didnt say he was going to hell. I said I believed him to be a horrible person. I can make that judgment for myself as I am sure you can as well.

Explain to me what that has to do with anything. How does that invalidate my opinion.
