re: Walz and Frey under criminal investigation for conspiracy to obstruct ICE

Guys, haven’t you all learned by now after the many many times similar statements like this have been made only for nothing to happen?

You’re blaming the lack of trust in the government on diversity, and not the dude who’s constantly saying the election was stolen, they are out to get me, there’s a deep state and it won’t let me do things, etc?
Do you realize how dumb that is?

You must not have heard of this country called Poland which just can’t stop buying our most modern military equipment. They woukd be able to handle Russia by themselves.

Not Danish or Greenland land that we have bases on and can do whatever, but actual US land. That’s a much bigger deterrent to our enemies.
For the love of god, this isn’t hard:
1. We already have a military presence there.
2. If someone invaded Greenland, Denmark would invoke article 5 so there is just as big of a deterrent as if it was US land.
3. Who the hell is going to occupy it? Russia? The country who couldn’t maintain coordinated supply lines to Kyiv resulting in long columns of unfueled equipment? China? A country that has no modern experience in warfare and all that is required whatsoever?
Any country that tries to put troops there wouldn’t be able to support them and those troops would just get bombed into oblivion.
Seriously, anyone who actually thinks we need Greenland to keep Russia or China from taking it over has a negative amount of brain cells.

Sigh, it’s pointless arguing with you when you don’t know how the justice system works.
There can be a law for something, but someone can not be found guilty of violating that law without a trial. In other words, a law can say inciting violence is not free speech, it a trial is needed to determine that what that person said is actually “inciting violence”.
This is not rocket science.

Msm and social media are the main weapons used by the woke to fan the flames and incite/coordinate violent riots. With those two entities not turned off during the insurrection act being enacted, they will incite domestic terrorism in basically every big blue city. We saw it during the floyd riots when there were 20+ coordinated violent riots at the same time in multiple cities. If they can be turned off or restricted, then by the time the woke outrage starts to spread, Minnesota will already be cleaned up.
Do you not remember that the left has been trying to say Trump incited the Jan 6 violence? And if they used the same incredibly dumb logic that you guys are using, they could then move to shutdown all of Trumps and his supporters social medias? And that would happen before any sort of due process to determine if they actually were inciting violence, which again what you guys are proposing?
If after that example you think this is a good idea then I guess you can’t fix stupid.

Correct. We do. We also have a SUPREME COURT. And it disagrees with you. It's not protected speech. I gave you the case in the OP.
This is the part you don’t get, it’s not you that determines if something is protected speech or not, or if something is inciting violence. That happens when a person is charged and then goes to court where that is ultimately determined. So ya, banning the internet just because you think someone may be inciting violence is a pretty bad thing.
The left has tried to say that Trump incited what happened at Jan 6. If they used your dumb logic they could argue that all of his accounts and supporters accounts should be removed from all social websites. Then subsequently remove those accounts without any actual due process.
If you don’t see how dangerous this is then idk, I guess you really can’t fix stupid.

It's not misuse. It organizing to create conflict with LEO and inciting violence.
We have this thing called the justice system with these things called courts. Those courts are where it’s determined if someone is guilty of a crime, not what some rando like you says on the internet.
I’d also be very careful, because maybe the next liberal admin comes in and decides that Truth social is responsible for inciting violence according to whatever logic they choose to make up on that given day (like you are here).

So, everyone here seems to be up for us to turn into Iran and China to shut down/control the internet…? Interesting times.

Freedom of Speech does not include organizing methods to obstruct LEO. The SCOTUS has ruled on that.
If we are going to take down the internet because someone uses it for something bad, then we can pretty much use the same logic to ban just about everything else because someone will misuse it.

It’s not that hard. Trump encourages Iranians to protest. Says there will be hell to pay if government suppresses protests through violence. Govt fills body bags. Trump does nothing. Worse that Obama’s Syria redline. Hell, the way that he hung out those protesters is bordering on JFK/Bay of Pigs level hangout.
Not sure why you are being downvoted as this is 100% true if he actually backs out.
With that said, I do think there is a chance that this could buy time to get more assets in the area and gauge Irans defense strategies.

Well, no one here should ever mention Obama’s Syria redline again as if Trump actually doesn’t attack, then this is a million times worse after he literally told them to keep protesting and that help was on the way.

I am genuinely interested as to why a fair number of posters are focused upon "acceleration" rather than "velocity."
Because mass x acceleration gives you force, which is easier for us to have a sense of its magnitude because we can easily quantify it and experience it through things like lifting weights.
When people bring up velocity they are referring to kinetic energy which is also a valid way to look at it but it gives you different units and less of a real world sense of value.
WITH THAT SAID, talking about the car mass and resulting force is irrelevant as that is not the force applied to the officer, and would only be valid if he was pinned and his body was so rigid that it allows no deflection causing the car to come to a stop from equal forces (ie not possible, and the car would crush him before his body experienced that full force).
The reality is, the max force he could have experienced was the cars acceleration x his mass. He’d experience a similar force if he was the one in the drivers seat accelerating. It’s just instead of that force being applied by a cushioned chair, it’s applied by the more rigid front end.

Has to be misdirection, don’t see how he can just not attack after repeatedly saying he would if protestors are killed, and then doubling down telling protesters to keep going and that help was in the way.
Backing down after that would be so much worse than Obama’s Syria red line gaffe.

I think it's a mistake personally, but the motive is obvious. Half the country's idiots—regardless of the fact that there is video that shows the guy being hit—refuse to admit it. We've got some of those here.
I think they are realizing they messed up supporting him so now they have to go all in.
The reality is, it doesn’t matter if she made contact or not. Shooting her doesn’t stop a moving car (ie this doesn’t prevent the danger to him) and the moment the first shot was fired he was already out of the way, much less the following shots. Not to mention he was already going for his gun before the car moved forward as indicated by his cell phone switching hands during recording.
The key to self defense, which you guys somehow don’t realize, isn’t whether or not the car made contact. It’s about when the shots were fired, and if the response was reasonable to stop the threat. Given that shots happened when he was no longer at risk, and that shooting the driver won’t stop a moving car, he loses both points.
