Jack Ryan [Tom Clancy] and the President of Venezuela (2019)
Posted by AllThatJazz on 1/3/26 at 1:10 pm
Interesting parallels....
LINK
"After tracking a suspicious shipment in the Venezuelan jungle, Jack Ryan heads to South America to investigate. As Jack threatens to uncover a far-reaching conspiracy, the President of Venezuela launches a counter-attack that hits home, leading Jack on a mission spanning the US, UK, Russia, and Venezuela to unravel the President's plot and bring stability to a country on the brink of chaos."

When he was first elected (45) and first started with "mean tweets", I cringed. It was something I wasn't used to after 8 long years of Obama. Now that I look back, I realized how far Obama had gotten up our butts... so bad that it became acceptable. And then it hit me: "It's the contrast, stupid!" The difference in priorities was hard to process at first.
At some level, Americans are naturally concerned about breaking the system with too much of a shift from one administration to the next. Having some pushback against a guy who says what he thinks (unfiltered), does what he promises, and is grounded in fundamental Stoic principles takes some getting used to after a steady dose of Obama and Biden absurdity.
His persistence and energy are to be admired. People are finally warming up to his style and staying true to "The Plumbline" of reason. You can go ahead and nit-pick him all you want but considering the alarming shifts in morality state-side and worldwide, I'll take him any day of the week. He is indeed the greatest president of my lifetime.

What’s that smell coming from Dearborn? I put Somalis and Muslims in the same basket when it comes to ethics, morality, and reasoning skills. Nick Shirley needs to pay them a visit. I see low hanging fruit…

It should be mandatory for all Democrats to witness a live abortion… Body parts and all.

2026 O&G Exploration – land-side Louisiana – Expectations
Posted by AllThatJazz on 1/1/26 at 1:53 pm
To the O&G folks on the MT…. What are the expectations for new (non-Haynesville) drilling in 2026? I’m particularly interested in the Tuscaloosa Marine Shale. Has the TMS been given the last rites?
Also heard some "barbershop talk" that AI will have a huge positive impact on fracking and a related uptick in drilling activity. Would appreciate your thoughts on this.
Thanks in advance…

Mineral Rights when buying WRP Hunting/Recreational Acreage
Posted by AllThatJazz on 12/31/25 at 9:05 am
What is the typical retention rate for mineral rights by the seller when selling land in the WRP program? 100%? 50%? 0%? I understand it’s negotiable, but hoping to get some real-world numbers. Anyone here have practical experience with this? TIA
