LSU doesnt only have #1 overall 2026 class, they have #1 overall class in 247 history
Posted by JSmat931 on 1/24/26 at 1:02 am
At 356 points
I’ll caveat it with the numbers this year are a lot higher on 247 than past years. I think they’re waking up to how important transfer portal is and assigned more points to it verse just HS recruiting
How we’re getting all this money for BK buyout, Lane, staff buyout and portal, I don’t know but a big thanks to the selfless LSU fans that helped this happen by donating.

Yes it was bc money that I have no idea we had enough for BK buyout, Lane, other staff buyout, and record portal class. I hope to be in the level where I can say I contributed to that.

Doesn’t work in reality.
Lot of those guys were transfers that Cignetti maybe spent 1 day with on a campus visit and offered. You can’t tell if a player is a team player from a 1 day visit. His coaching was good, but I don’t think you can specifically craft a roster that you think are all team players when you see them for maybe 6-8 hours then have to decide in the portal to offer or not.
It’s the same way in real business. You Can have 35 open roles to fill thinking you’re getting good employees as they put on a show inn the interview, but you never really know until weeks in how they really are.

Ole Miss has No national championships. Anything pre-1997 or whenever first BCS nati was is determined by AP poll. Ole Miss never finished first in AP poll. They claimed 2 3rd place finishes as a nati and a 2nd place finish as a nati. But by most ppl standard, they have none.
16 of 27 for 186, 6.9 YPA. 0 TDs but a rushing TD. That’s not a great game, not bad, but a very average game.
2020 Bama would beat this IU team.
In their final 2 games:
2019 LSU: 1,350 yards for and 716 yards allowed. Vs 2 and 4 seed
2025 IU: 679 yards for and 720 yards allowed. Vs 5 and 10 seed
1,350 offensive yards in a 4 team CFP…. Verse 679.

Fernando is the ultimate “I want you to date my daughter kid”. Bc you know he’s not gonna do bad.

Got outgained in yardage both this game and verse Oregon
It was under thrown by Beck, but you gotta come back to that as a WR and try to break it up despite momentum bringing you to the end zone. You gotta make that effort as a nati winning play.
While that was under thrown, the WR is such a lazy POS for making no attempt to break up the INT in the literal biggest play you could be in.

THE GUY WAS OPEN TOO
Bill Lemonier and Rick Perreira just agree with whatever the refs say. There could be a terrible call on the field; and they will auto agree with the refs from bias of having had that job.
How the frick do you get a delay of game on the 1st play of a drive off a touchback. So undisciplined.

That Indiana TE will be hit up by bettors on insta for his false start cancelling a -8 Indiana chance. Probably bad.
Vegas just one hundreds of millions on that failed 3rd down

Everyone bet IU
Guarantees no -8

Lot of people just lost big on not picking up that 1st. Hundreds of millions lost as everyone bet Indiana.
Ppl sweating balls on this spread including mattress Mack. Maybe has a mil on line here.
How #24 doesn’t simply turn around and bat those balls down when they aren’t great placed balls at all is crazy. He extended last drive and now this drive: The little things. Just turn around and bat it. Really is that simple. It was thrown well within 24 radius.
24 on Miami getting beat by a simple 1 yard comeback in slow motion multiple times now
Beck is elite at QB when down by 7 or more, but if tied or down 3 or up, he lacks aggression to push the ball down the field.
Toney might be best player in CF. Not just a reaction to that drive but the whole CFP
Miami FG kicker gonna be why they lose this.
This is why you have to recruit IQ and talent and not just talent.
Undisciplined and not being where you’re supposed to be is why Miami lost. I’d rather never make CFP then make a Nati and lose.

I mean, I bet you every single 11 Miami defenders 40 times is at least 0.3 seconds faster than him. You had 4 guys with open access. But somehow blow it. Miami just doesn’t have the winning gene, Josh Allen syndrome.
