Ohtani can pitch but Judge is better at everything else.

Ohtani is better at winning championships too.

Ohtani dong first inning
You seem caught up on how many decisions he has. He had 14 starts in 2025 while rehabbing from injury at the big league level. And hit 55 HRs.

Dodgers also were good enough to not need to push him deep in games either.

He also finished 4th in the cy young in 2022 when he was healthy. To say he’s never pitched and hit at the same time is a horrible take. He’s a unicorn. There’s never been anyone like him before.

Ruth was never a dominant hitter and pitcher at the same time.

The qualifier here is that Ruth was not a dominant hitter while pitching at the same time. EVER. 4, 2, 11, and 29 HRs for Ruth when he was doing both. Highest HR total is only 3 more than Altuve hit last year who is now in the twilight of his career.
Ohtani has pitched his entire career unless he was coming back from an injury that prevented him from pitching. He had a sub 3 era and hit 55 homes runs in 2025.

And he currently has the longest innings pitched streak without allowing an earned run and also at the same time he’s got the longest getting on base streak as a batter in the league.

With all due respect, you need to get thee to a baseball encyclopedia. Babe Ruth was career .342 with 714 hitting & 94-46 2.28 with 107 CGs pitching.

Babe Ruth didn’t hit and pitch at an elite level at the same time. He was an elite pitcher early in his career and elite hitter later in the career. Ohtani is doing both at the same time. And he can steal 50 bases a season if he wanted to.
Not late 80s but some early 90 entries.

Cool. I always like watching Chasing Cardboard.
Offseason consolidations complete.

Photo is Altuve going 1st to 3rd on Jeremy Pena hit and run in the 8th inning of game 5 of 2022 WS. Yordan Alvarez then knocked him in for what would end up being the game winning run.

Which Jordan would you be targeting in the 2-3k range. I have an Ohtani that is about to sell for $2k and have some small cards to add in as well that could get me to 3k.

Any love for the 1993 topps finest refractor PSA 8? 1986 fleer sticker PSA 8? Whatever scoring kings is valued in that range?

The only notable Jordans I have are the PSA 9 1992 Beam Team, PSA 9 1988 fleer all star, and the PSA 91998 ultra gold medallion. I had previously thought any Jordans were out of my range but now not because of Ohtani cards 2-3x.
USA! USA! USA!

Taking the mound in the WBC in 5 days.

This year so far has been mostly consolidation for me. I got back into collecting 1.5 years ago with my kids. Thankfully went heavy into lower end ($200-500) Ohtani cards. Those are now $500-1000 plus and have been moved to fund much of this. I do still have plenty of other Ohtani.

I mostly collect Altuve and Ohtani. This year I’ve added some Judge. And the OG 1990s Jordan insert.
