Do people realize coaches are allowed to hustle, develop relationships with donors and generate excitement/raise funds for the program and their players to go far above what the University pays out in rev share? That's where the money is going to come from. Not whether LSU puts $2 million or $4 million or whatever into the basketball roster.

Top 3 dumbest arguments made in this thread -

1) LSU should just let basketball suck and give all the money to football and baseball. Too stupid to argue.

2) Will Wade sucks. The results speaks for themselves. He wins everywhere he goes and is still a young coach. If you were going to handicap who will have the most NCAA tournament wins over the next 15 years, Will Wade is firmly in the top 5-10.

3) Will Wade would never come back to LSU. Maybe true but maybe not true. NC State as this basketball factory is a bit of a myth. Yes, they are passionate about basketball. No, they are no where near UNC and Duke in their own backyard. For starters, the new LSU head coach will likely receive double Will Wade's current salary.
Devon Dampier makes so much sense for LSU. I'm ready for a portal announcement from that kid.

They did some things well. Allowing over 41.6% ORB is absolutely horrendous and doesn’t have much if anything to do with Thomas.

8-10 in the SEC with LSU's non conference schedule is likely not going to get it done.

It's McMahon's best team, in large part because DJ Thomas is the best player he's had. Thomas may be the best PG in the SEC.

Outside of Thomas, there's nothing special about the group but Sutton is a good player that will probably get you 15/8 in conference games. Nwoko plays well with Thomas and needs to stay out of foul trouble because it's not good behind him.

We'll win games when Mackinnon is knocking down 3s. I'm concerned about what happens when more athletic teams that play defense don't give him the kind of open looks he's been getting against the non con schedule.

They have a shot to make the tournament. SEC is down this year, so I think they need to go 9-9 to make it. I'd say it's 50-50 or slightly below.

Agree with that for sure, most of the big things we've bought at least promote hanging out as a family (golf cart) or getting outside and moving around (trampoline, swings, basketball, bikes etc). But I do agree with the thought.
That's a good idea, thanks. We're on northshore.

"Big" Christmas gifts for kids ideas...

Wife and I are struggling to come with a fun "big" gift from Santa for the kids this year along with all the other junk we buy. Ages 4 - 11 which obviously makes it a little tougher. In year's past we've done things like Golf Cart (not looking to spend that much this year), Trampoline, Swing/Climbing Set, Basketball Goal, etc. Best we've come up with is a monkey bar setup which costs an amazing $1,500 or so. Would pay it if I thought they'd love it but not all are into monkey bars. Wondering if any good ideas out there. Considering a puppy but kinda late and will probably wait 1 more year on that.

So bad I figured it was fake. He never will be honestly should apologize and delete. Really bad.
Why is it no issue that he’s negotiating another job with his team in contention for the playoffs and Kiffin is a selfish POS for doing the same?
I don't think there's any doubt this is CMM's best team, though that is one hell of a low bar.

They are a great FT shooting team.

The PG is a very good offensive player.

Nwoko will be able to match up physically with anyone.

Sutton has shot the ball at a clip that would make him one of the best 3 point shooters in America. IMO that's not sustainable.

They have some guys that can protect the rim but I see major problems for this team coming when matched up with athletic guards that can play.

I question the head coach's ability to motivate and foster a mentally tough mindset from a team.

Luckily the SEC isn't nearly as strong as last season but it's a steep uphill climb for this group to make it to the NCAA tournament IMO. The non con schedule is so horrific that a loss to anyone other than Texas Tech would be a hard loss to overcome resume wise unless they perform way better in conference than I'm expecting.

I’d like to see a Lincoln Riley team show some balls and win a tough game like the one coming up next week @ Oregon. If he wins it, Id be more interested.
No offense but I find it amazing the percentage of grown adults that don’t understand $53 million today is not the same value as $53 million paid monthly for the next 6 years. There’s probably a million things I should know that I don’t but this one is pretty simple.
Obviously you'd take less to get the money up front, just like nearly everyone does with the lottery/powerball. Just a matter of how much. Plenty to take into consideration on whether LSU would leak damaging personal info by fighting for termination with cause and/or if he wants to coach again or work in television, you are more likely to take a lump sum now so that money from lsu isn't reduced.
SLU needed a desperation 3 at the buzzer to cut it from 92 to 89.
Considering your list includes every single active coach national championship I'm not sure your point is that strong.
