So just because I don't type 15 replies a day my opinion is not worthy? Okkaaay. I usually just skim through some of the shite on here. I post occasionally on the LSU recruiting boards. I am a season ticket holder to the Saints/Hornets/and LSU grad. I was at the very first Hornets game against the Jazz in NOLA. I played college bball at D1 level before transferring to LSU...so please, don't tell me I don't know anything about basketball. I coached high school ball after college, and now just a die hard sports fan like most of you on here, but I just like to read/skim/troll boards periodically when I get time. I guarantee the front office is definitely open to any offers. #1 pick should be a franchise changing player. Let's hope AD changes the franchise like Duncan did for the Spurs, Durant for the Thunder, and Rose for the Bulls. Go Hornets! F@ck You lsutigernosaint

Man...I don't know. Dwight is the best center in the league. I would take him. He is guaranteed to produce, and with a 5 year extension..we would definitely pick up solid FA's

Dwight wants the big city lights. No way he comes to NOLA.

Pretty comical. Couldn't even fill up a row on the baseline.

Some hate going around on this board. Man, my fellow Hornets fans bashing me on my opinion. I think it's funny that all of you think the Hornets are now a championship caliber team? I've watch AD play all year, and I don't doubt his talent at all. He has all the intangibles, and will most definitely be a super star. I just think it's going to take more than AD, and what I "heard", and my mistake on EG being "Restricted" is that he wasn't happy here in NOLA. What happens to players when they aren't happy? They get traded. I just think it's funny that everyone has so much faith in our role players in Ariza, Okafor, Jack, and Landry. I like them, don't get me wrong...but I like the top contender's in the NBA role players better. Look how stacked the Spurs are!! They are probably one of the deepest teams I've ever seen. We lost David West, and CP3. Basically got EG, and #10 to replace them...and of course our losing season last year landed us AD. Look...I am just as big as a Hornets fan as anyone on here...and I hope I am wrong about my perception on AD ability to be a leader on the floor, and not just a great complimentary player. I just think if we could get 3 first round lottery picks for him...it could be great with some great talent in the future draft to come. I do believe Benson isn't afraid to spend money like Shinn was. This could be great in the future signings. Overall...I am sorry if I hurt most of your feelings with my opinion on something to think about. It's a great time to be a Hornets fan! I'm excited!

Delusional if you really think we have pieces right now.
All of our pieces left
-CP3
-West
-Thorton
-Chandler
-Collison
-JR Smith
-Birdman (haha jk)
We lost these players...in return for Okafor, EG...who most of you feel confident on his return. I've heard otherwise. He is good when healthy.

I like the idea...but package what deal? Boston isn't going to ship us Rondo for some scrubs, and #10 pick. lol

Why? It makes perfect since. You would be a moron not to trade AD for 3 lottery picks. Do you really think he is going to change this franchise around with out any pieces around him?
What should we do?

Best move the Hornets could make, trade their pick to Charlotte. People are over valuing Davis to such a degree that even swapping one spot could net the Hornets 3 future first rounder’s (all of which would likely be lottery picks). There is no doubt that AD is good, but I don't see greatness in him. I see a complimentary player, not the floor general. I don't see a leader.
The chances of resigning Eric Gordon, are probably slim to none! I would love to have him, but I just see it not going the way we want it. We most definitely won’t trade AD, unless we get something ridiculous like the 3 first round lottery picks, including a guaranteed future top 3. The Cavs could throw something at us too. They really wanted Kyrie Irving to play with AD. This could happen, because Dan Gilbert is a moron.
With the way I see it playing out is we draft AD, due to the whole overall change to our franchise. New owner, new team name, new colors, new arena due to millions of dollars of renovations….and new franchise player to build around. The thing is…we have to resign EG for this to work, otherwise AD will leave us like CP3 if we can’t put pieces around him immediately. The Thunder have been successful, because they built around Durant, and Westbrook. Like I said previously, I just don’t see AD as a franchise dominating leader. Look how good Dwight Howard is, and look where they are. If we don’t make any trades, and happen to keep AD, EG, and #10 pick cough Damien Lillard cough cough (hopefully pans out) then we got Ariza, Kaman, Okafor, Jack, and Landry. Over 3 years with building around this team, and an aging Lakers, Spurs team…we could be competing with the Thunder.
The number 1 pick is a rare beast, and we are very fortunate the NBA rigged it for us. WE hold the golden ticket. Last time this franchise drafted #1 was a good one in Larry Johnson. I just hope we make the right decision, and everything pans out…because we deserve it after going through Katrina!!!!

The Raiders are awful and this is the first time i'll ever agree with Warren Sapp....Al Davis is the biggest cancer to that organization! He is a joke...it really is a shame to see talent like J Russell and RunDMC end up there. They will probably wind up being bust if Al Davis stays alive another 10 years...
re: LSUMATT "FUTURE POLL" RELEASED
Posted by BayouBomber25 on 10/2/08 at 10:50 pm to Section28
The Matrix Poll is wac then...No way the BCS ends up like that if thats the case...If a team goes undefeated in the Big 10 (Like Penn St) Which everyone is already on that bandwagon..would IMO go ahead of us...even tho, we have a more difficult schedule and better wins. It would suck if that was the situation. As far as USC winning out...and Mizzou losing a game....USC goes ahead of Mizzou in the BCS...sorry I didnt see your Matrix poll....

No way the rankings end up like that? First off if Penn St. stays undefeated..theyll be ahead of LSU...second a one lose Mizzou team would be behind a one loss USC team, bc that means USC won out the rest of the year...
LSU will need to some help from other conferences to knock off teams like OU, Penn St, Mizzou, USC, South Florida, and even OSU...that is if we wind up losing..which would be a miracle if we didn't?

re: Jarvis Jones...
Posted by BayouBomber25 on 7/18/08 at 7:09 am to MOT
I see Jarvis pretty much every day this summer and as for lately he hasn't been coming to class. Usually their is some coach that waits by the door to make sure the players are in class, being that there are about 20 football players in my class as well as other sports. By the way, he is a moron and usually doesn't say a word, unlike most of the others. By the way, his cell phone went off in class last week during a film and it was Avril Lavigne. Herman Johnson and Chad Jones looked at him and were like "Are you serious?" True story!
