Driving in Friday. Anybody else? I called UF and got the available parking lots but they didn't know if one was traditionally LSU. Thanks for your help if you have done this before.
Why in the hell would they flip to flip back? Who is bringing them back? Not our OC, (who we don't have).

And losing LBs.?? not cause of Aranda, but because nobody trusts us to get this program together. If you don't see their reasons for bailing you are blind.

And they are bailing, you can say they are coming back all you want but who are you?
They flipped due to our turmoil... why the hell would they just decide to flip back? What is it that would bring them back?

They loved LSU, they left LSU. Who brings them back?
Wow. Someone sees this clearly. We are undoubtedly their biggest game of the year despite our coaching woes (and I include Les Miles in woes). And any way to put us down is best for them.

Somehow all of these people think that nobody could be so savy as to help coaching searches to hurt us. It is very easy. Sorry you're not as savy...

Wow... you must be a little light on cash. You can do anything with cash!

Saban could easily make the decision easy on Kiffen.

I know I could. Just the way it is.

Ask LSU how many $100,000 donations they get yearly. And that's just from hard working alumni.. not old oil sponsors.

If you aren't in the millionaires club, don't talk about who wants what pay!
Ok, fine. Some of you that disagree are right. Cool. Any of you been watching our recruiting losses here lately? You wanna blame that on what?

Like I said, I hope for the best!

Now, look at our recruitment changes lately. Kids must just be dumb and not know you guys here on the rant! Otherwise they would still be here right???
Wake up!
I agree with this. But a couple of years at a rival school coaching against Saban would not have hurt his stock either.
Who else has given them a good run in regular season. They win on last minute drives twice, beat us in a game that was 0-0 in fourth quarter (with interim coach). You think he would be happy for us getting the best of the best as coordinators and assistants if he can help it at all? Make yourself stronger while lessening your opponent. Always.
You are delusional if you think this. We give him heart palpitations every year. Outside of Ole Miss who they always gift shite too, we are all they contend with in the season. You sure as frick don't let them get any stronger.

Nah... people can bash all they want. But Saban would not let Kiffen come to LSU. And he DIDNT!

And Kiff is now making far less than the "lateral" move to LSU would have provided (see: Aranda)

For fricks sake, you think Saban doesn't know what having his previous OC could do for his most formidable opponent? and you think he has done what he has done In CFB without realizing these things?

God damnit, no reason I only post here a couple of times per year.

Saban must have planned this!

$950,000 per year for 5 years for Kiffen at FAU?!? He could/should have gotten $2,000,000/yr (or close to it) to OC here with what Orgeron is being paid.

I have been fighting the hate, but I think our AD department is in a state of disrepair!

So now we fight bama for an OC? Sark was brought in this year to keep (away from us) as help, and bama won't let him go. But all reports say he won't be the OC.

Boy Saban F'd LSU good this time.

We need an AD smarter than him.
This guy has obviously never been to the grove, and apparently not the Parade Ground either... I hate Ole Miss, but that tree covered monstrosity full of tents and all is quite a scene. Love the Spirit, but get some culture. Game needs to Recognize Game.
As a recipient of the Tiger Band Honors Scholarship in 2001 after an audition with Roy King, I can say that this entire thread is full of unknowledgeable blow-hards.

Roy was great and worked many, many hours each and every week far beyond any of you "arm chair band leaders". Linda drove the program like it was a military unit. I think Linda should have been given the program after Wickes left. It didn't happen so whatever.

The program is now in different hands and I am willing to bet that 9 out of 10 of you here don't really care to watch the half time show anyway. I'm sure the entire tune of this board would turn around if the new director blasted neck for 5 minutes following every score and then again repeatedly as we pummeled people. I get it, the band members love that shite too! Like every "head" of a program at LSU they are subject to bullshite PC rules. Heaven forbid a bunch of 18-21 year olds get excited and scream "suck that tiger dick" or "assholes, assholes".

If you wanna bitch about something, bitch about the pussyfication of America. That is what is stopping us from the bad arse things we used to love about the band in tiger stadium...
I am in this crew. What up Zealot? Got me a new bad arse LSU Baseball jersey for the game. Why? Why not?? Gunna be a pile of LSU folks out. Be loud, be "borderline" obnoxious. Events like these are why people all over the country know how hard we travel.

While in Syracuse last year I realized how much other fans are in disbelief until it happens to them...

Not to mention Seattle for the WASH U game a few years ago. Half of those people didn't know what LSU was (literally. We were asked multiple times while wondering Seattle). They know now.

Where ya at Florida tiger? I see your USF emblem. I've been in Tampa/Brandon since graduating in '05.

Flights booked! Syracuse Hotels?

Posted by GoldenBandMan on 6/22/15 at 6:46 pm
Sorry if this is the wrong forum... Just booked flights to NY. Staying the week in NYC, but tried booking some of the campus hotels for game weekend and came up empty. There are obviously plenty of surrounding hotels, but I wondered if anyone else is booked and where is best? Thanks for your help!

The crowd tonight

Watching on TV from Florida, it looked and sounded INCREDIBLE. Very Jealous I missed it! It seemed to me that it really got to Bo in particular and helped seal the victory. Throwing up the #3 in the DBS face?? I've never felt like home field meant as much as I felt it did tonight.

HEY! Now that's just not fair. I am an amazing husband and my wife would call and tell you the same as she's on the way to drop me off at the airport in the morning!! She deeply respects me and my (perhaps too fanatical) love for the tigers and she wouldn't have this either other way. It was even in our wedding vows! When my ticket arrived in the mail she instantly called me at work to tell me it arrived and how pretty it was!

Whoa... "a football game" This is not just a football game... I've got to be honest, I didn't expect so much push back from this forum. Believe you me, I'm hoping she holds out until the end of the week like our doctor projects. If our doc said it's coming in the next few days I would change things, but the vibe I'm getting it will be toward the weekend and if I stayed and she didn't pop I would hate that I missed the game. And it's a little late now to ship my ticket out to someone!

Uh... you hope I'm not for real for wanting to facetime it, or that I'm actually leaving??? Because I am. And, I guess I'm just a fan, but I am an Alumni. I should probably also make it known that my wife is an Auburn alum. Does that change things?

P.S. My flight leaves at 7AM CST and I just can't sleep for the excitement!!

Ipads in the Dome??

Posted by GoldenBandMan on 1/8/12 at 1:09 am
My wife is right at 9 months pregnant with our first child, and I fly out in the morning for New Orleans and come back Tuesday night. (we live in Tampa) Being that there is a good chance she could give birth during the game, will they let me bring my Ipad into the dome so we can atleast facetime it? I know it sounds "dickish" that I leave but... she knew of my fanaticism when we married!
"This black defense just forced 2 straight"

I love immaturity!
Man... if you just had audio on this game you might think it was some type of race war... "The black offense is finally taking it to the white offense", "That's really what this black offense needed", etc... I wonder if they get to share a water fountain?

Hard to see from 34000 feet up... Sure to be a good time when I touch down!!
Atleast it appears they won the fight!
I'm not sure if this is the appropriate board for this post, but I am trying to book rooms for the opener and want some input on the hotels near the stadium. Would anybody know yet where the team is staying, or where LSU has a big block of rooms? I'm looking for a nice suite somwhere very near the stadium. Thanks for your help!! And hope to you there!
