Salmon - they had several 4 packs at Tony's liquor last week. Check there.

Had lunch at parkway and had a hopitilus (sp?). Excellent.

I've got a wedding tonight, so I can't camp out at avenue. I'm staying on Decatur, so i'll check what they have at central groces.

Had the Stallion at cresent city brewhouse as we stilled by. Good beer, but was much more like a ESB than a Vienna, which is what they had it listed as.

Great day to be walking around the quarter. Cheers.

Where should I go to find it? Both on tap and packaged to take home.

Sorry for the late reply.

I was in Sacramento for the week for work and had it there. Nice IPA. Much better than the Pyramid IPA I had, which was one of the few local options available in restaurants.

River City Brewing Company had a 7% oak aged IPA that great as well. Wanted to bring back a 10 pint mini-keg of this, but I didn't think it would make it through the airport in my carry-on.

Bought some Two Hearted Ale at the publix just below the water tower at the intersection of hwy 161 and 182. $10.99 a sixer if I remember correctly. Get that and the Magic Hat Summer sampler.

You're Welcome.

The kid has the ability to take over games, and looks like a man among boys at times. His performance late in the second round game was unbelievable. He just needs to get more consistent, imo.

Maybe Winnfield's former cross country champion can take him under his wing and show him to give it his all, all of the time.
He's the new Tommy Trott. Guy played with Bo Jackson and Ben Tate, it seemed like.
Checked Sucre website out. Looks perfect, I sense dampness will occur soon after. Thx.

Birthday dessert in Nola

Posted by Worn Hanes on 10/21/10 at 9:31 pm
Will be in New Orleans tomorrow and it is the wife's birthday. Planning on eating late lunch/early supper at Galatorie's. What should we hit up for dessert after? The wife loves sweets and dessert, so it will be key.

Also, where should I eat supper the rest of the week? Company is paying, but nothing too expensive. Any suggestions much appreciated.
I had the cane break last week, and it was very good. Give it a try and encourage others to do so. Support a local upstart brewery. Good to see other louisiana brews.
I had a Cabeza taco a couple of weeks ago without knowing Cabeza means "head." I thought it was brisket, so the descriptions of brisket and short ribs is accurate, imho. They were very good btw, much better than the asada tacos I had.

Go for it if you have the chance.

From what I've read, Mugaritz kitchen burned to the ground at the end of February of this year.

If you fry them, make a dipping sauce of apple butter and spicy creole mustard (equal parts). It's a simple and delicious addition to fried wild duck.

I think UNC-chapel Hill has a top rated MHA program.

Look into a MHA/MBA double masters also. My old had this from Georgia State and had a very nice job for a person his age. The MBA will give you more options if Obamacare changes things drastically and healthcare management jobs are no longer high paying.

Thanks for the advice.

This is one of the reasons I want to purchase something local, instead of sight unseen online.

I'm going to pull the trigger on a larger cast iron set up (7-10 gallon). This is what I want to get:

Does anyone know of a place closer to Shreveport that sells this?

Thx in advance.

...as many passes as Benton has caught.
What pine saw mills are in simsboro? I only know of Mid-States, but they primarily just treat.
I'm sure there are some out there, but none I know of. I know someone would be interested in making heart pine flooring out of those things, so I'm sure there would be someone. Although I know a lot of heart pine floors are made out of re-sawed wood these days. Sawmills in general are a dying bread, however. F-ing NAFTA and Canadians.

A timber auction would be your best bet if you had to sell.
Do you already own said land, or are you looking to buy the land?

FWIW, my dad has been in the timber industry for over 30 years, and we've had conversations about land investments. He basically said you either have to buy land with timber ready to harvests and then replant or get the land at basically zero cost to have a positive return. Meaning, you can't buy land at $2,000 per acre, plant, and wait 20 years with little to zero cash flow and make any money. You need to be able to cut some existing timber to recoup a portion of your initial land cost.
I did it at night while I worked. Took me about two years.

You will understand your material more and can contribute to the discussions more if you have some work experience under your belt. You don't have to have some fancy job to do this either. You can comprehend the managerial side of the program more if you have actually been a part of or witnessed some of the scenarios you will cover.

I have a MBA so I can speak that the course work would do absolutely nothing for the CPA. My assumption regarding the MS lead to my comment. If you've heard to contrary, then that may be the case. I've looked into the CPA exam the past year and will probably just use Becker if I ever decide to pursue it, which i heard is the best prep if you need it.

My father-in-law has a BA in biology and took some undergrad accounting courses to meet the hours requirement and passed it on the first try. The whole 150 hours thing is just a barrier to entry, imo.
If you know you want to be a CPA, then I would recommend the MS in Accounting. The course work will be much more beneficial to the CPA exam.
I'm trying to unload an investment house and I didn't want to use a listing agent and throw away 6%. I found this guy: LINK. I paid around $300 and got it on the mls and realtor.com. You can choose the buying agent commission as well. If you're not in a hurry to sell, I would recommend try this option.

Really? How does that work exactly?

Your explanation earlier illustrates how the compounding of the fractional lending works.

The dirty little secret about credit is that there is not enough currency in the world to pay back all loans at the same time.
