re: LSU basketball opens with:

That isn't the opener.
How often do they do the re-seating? This is my first year with tickets, next year I'll be able to make a substantially larger donation, would I be able to get better seats? Only did the minimum donation this year.
If it wasn't for the NBA Finals, it would likely be the primetime game, imo.
How awesome would a Mike Papi walk off be?

Could you be more specific on which of our aces you expected us to pitch? We have four of them.

I was there, but you probably figured.

Capacity now is like 5500 or so.
Not making it up tomorrow with the Hawks playing at the same time. Tickets weren't selling like past years either. Really need the Cocks to make it out of Columbia for next weekend. You coming back for Supers Tulane?
I'm driving in (from SC) early Sat morning. Gonna be solo, anyone want to invite me to a tailgate? Met a few people through here in 2009 tailgaiting. mpmeredith@liberty.edu

Where did you find that? Not doubting, just would like to see it.
This was mentioned on TheSabre, and wanted to make sure those visiting are aware. Our ushers are the worst in the country. Seriously, way uptight. Don't dare your seat without your ticket, and you best get in your exact seat, or the ushers will find you, and they will kill you. Honestly not sure how bad they are in the outfield bleachers, hopefully more relaxed, but in the grandstand, man they suck. I love going to games everywhere else because you never notice them, but for whatever reason, in all sports, ours suck. UGA football is the only place I've been similar to it.
don't worry, I'm not an alum. Just grew up a fan.

I used to live on Fontaine right between the Exxon/Sandwich place and Wayside. It was a great. Wayside is closed on Sunday, so make sure you get there on Saturday before the game. Our bullpen has been solid. Kyle Crockett has been lights out (Except for that one game vs unc, but forget that game). When goes in, it is over. Austin Young was the setup man and was money all season, until the unc series, and he has struggled since then (ACC tournament and this past weekend). Josh Sborz (freshman) has kinda taken Young's place. Also have gotten solid long relief from David Rosenberger. Our starters for Sat/Sun are Silverstein and Waddell, didn't name anyone for a potential game three, it will either be Nick Howard or Whit Mayberry. Nick was our Sunday starter for much of the year, but after our SS Cogswell went down, we moved him there and Mayberry became our #3. Cogswell is rumored to possibly come back this weekend, so not sure how that will affect our staff. I feel very good about our bullpen.

Starters gave up 4 runs for this past weekend. Bullpen didn't give up any (10 IP I believe).

Also, if anyone needs tickets, I am the resident scalper at thesabre, so hitmeup.

Missed the playoffs 5 out of 6 seasons, missed it for the second season in a row because of a late season collapse (started 7-3 last year, ended up losing 5 of 6, despite facing a ridiculously easy schedule. We did have some big injuries, but that is no excuse to not beat Kansas City, Oakland, Seattle, and Denver). That put him on the hot seat, and missing the playoffs after starting 7-1 killed him, as it should any coach. 10 wins, but nothing noteable. We did beat the Colts in Lucks first game, beat Minnesota back in November, but that's it. Looked pathetic against any good team. But he sure did show Tennessee and Jacksonville who's boss!

Driving down to Gainesville tomorrow for BG. 25 years old, single. Where would I have fun? Good places for tomorrow night as well as a good place to catch Bama/Mich on Saturday evening? TIA.
I stayed at the Value Place in Bellevue last year. It's like $200 for a week. Gives you the necessities. Decent TV, shower is fine, room is clean and felt safe. Walking distance to a movie theater for any off days. They also have a shuttle bus from Bellevue to the stadium (bus picks you up about 5 miles from the hotel). Apparently they still have at least one room available actually in Omaha. I'd stay again if/when UVA goes back. Make sure you have a car though, if you want to stay out in Omaha after the game and go to bars and whatnot, it'll be a $30 cab ride or so.

you hear what super UVA is matched with?

If the NCAA gave any indication that UK's field was insufficient (and given Mike's comments I think they did just the opposite) then UK could've hosted at Applebee's Field (Whitaker Bank Park). It actually sits in Lexington not far from campus at all.

So would you just trade stadiums for the weekend with the Legends? Or would you try to squeeze in your games before theirs?
just a heads up, Tony Bennett was nowhere near Portsmouth yesterday, when Alleva was there. TB was at a UVA donors function in Roanoke, ~5 hours from Portsmouth.

I was right by them, got a great video, however the Bama crowd was too loud I could not tell if they were doing chant

Here they are
Gonna bump this. Similar situation, Virginia fan coming down for my first game. Flying in tomorrow early afternoon, going to get my LSU bookstore visit out of the way first thing. I've kept in contact with a few LSU fans that I've met at road games, so I know a bit of what I'm doing, anyone have anything new to add? Where should I spend my Saturday evening, after dinner? I know the tailgaiting in general is top notch, but is there any specific tailgate or spot I should check out (got to experience the Vol Navy last weekend).

How can I tailgate on a boat?

Coming to Knoxville, would love to check that out. Was in a cockaboose last year, would be cool to knock this off of the list.
just got my tickets, the hologram is missing, it says we are playing the spungoes, and apparently it is printed on some sort of cracker.
some kid from bleacher report just asked a question...are the media days open to anyone? I thought it was a somewhat exclusive event.
Kinda confused, why is Muschamp on the SEC Digital Network stream, but Petrino speaking on ESPNU? Who should I be listening to?

just seeing if anyone is heading up to this game? I'll be there, but I grew up a UVA fan and live like 1.5 miles from the stadium.
I know everyone is focused on the Cotton Bowl right now, just seeing if there is any talk of this matchup.
