They also missed a good one in Calvin Natt from Bastrop in the late 70's. I went to school with him and he wanted to go to LSU but dale brown didnt show much interest in him. Here's his career stats. Dale missed it on this one. LINK he would have been on the same team as Rudy Mackland and Dwight Scales. Calvin also had a brother Kenny that Dale passed on also. Both made it to the NBA with Calvin being the best of the two.
I have been a fan since the first play of the saints was kick off ran back for touch down. remember them drafting kilmer. my favorite player back then was dannyy abramowicz. A louisiana boys dream to catch a touch down pass for the saints. Check this link out.

I am not sure who it will be. But a couple of points... Boston is off on Saturday night. Cleveland plays Charlotte in Charleston, SC saturday night at 7:30pm. I know big time players don't usually play a lot in exhibition games but they usually play a few minutes. So what i am trying to say is Shaq and Lebron seem to be busy saturday night
Just announced from NCAA that the game will not start until after 80 minutes after tarp is removed. As of now tarp still on field.

Just interviewed Coach Mainieri in dugout
I am going to say probably 1 cst 2 est. If we are on the same side of the bracket with arkansas and CSF don't you think they will be a later game because of where of the time difference? just my guess.
Like I said talked to bradshaw yesterday. So things change with these kids by the second
Got news of this yesterday from Bastrop Football Coach Bradshaw. And sure enough its in their local paper today.

Hopefully its not true !!!
I have read this topic and there are some I agree with and some i don't. I think we all can agree there has to be a change on defense. If you look at the best defenses the DC is always on the sideline leading the intensity of the players. If you look at our players, sure they are fired up when they make a great play, but do you see a coach waiting to congratulate them on the sidelines or to chew their arse when they play poorly. I have watched many years of LSU football and I can tell you right now If Les Miles does not make a change and hire a DC coordinator we are in a trouble. I see people on here gripe about JL and all he has done wrong and I agree he has made more than his share of mistakes. But when you kick off to a team and they drive right down the field with ease without JL stepping foot on the ground the defense is responsible. Come on guys we got down to Troy 31 to 3. It wasn't all JL's fault. I applaud the team for coming back but it shouldn't come to that. A head coach is like a CEO of a company. He hires the right people to do the job. If the people he hires doesn't work out then they part ways and find someone else. If he keeps giving them a chance and they don't improve then the whole company is in jeopardy. A good leader recognizes his mistakes and corrects them. All is not lost with this season. We still have good talent returning and even good talent coming in next year. I am not saying to fire peveto or mallory, they were on the staff with pelini, but to get someone to run the defense and let him run it. I coach should lead the team the whole team and hire the right guy that is a specialist in the his area of expertise. We are LSU we should have no problem in hiring a top notch DC. But when Coach Miles makes that decision he has to let the guy he hires and believes in run the defense his way not Les Miles way. If you Coach Miles can't let him run the defense and trust him he shouldn't hire him. There is and old saying that defense wins championships. I have to agree. Look back at our defense over that past four years prior to this one and look at our record. College football has changed. You have to have a defense to compete in this day and age. The clock not stopping limits the number of times your offense touches the ball per game. So your defense has to stop the other team's offense. I guess I keep repeating what you all already know, but changes on the defense side have to be made. Look at these stats if you have a doubt about our defense. These are SEC rankings:
2008 SEC defensive stats
Last in red zone defense (95 percent)

Last in interceptions with four

No. 11 in scoring defense (26 ppg)

No. 10 in pass defense (206 ypg)

No. 10 in pass efficiency defense (123.4, 8 TDs)

No. 9 in total defense (316 ypg)

No. 9 in turnover margin (minus-5)
Oh yeah these stats were before the Tulane game so you can add Alabama and Ole Miss so I believe it is worse now.

CHANGE MUST BE MADE !!!

Not a football expert but I do know this about our Tigers. We have the most experienced offensive line in the SEC. Why are we not running the ball instead of putting Lee in a position that he is not capable of handling at this time. Not saying he won't in the future but we are asking a freshman with only three years of football under his belt (he didn't start playing until his junior year of high school) to go against some of the best college football players in the nation. Don't give me the crap about we fell behind so we had to play catch-up, we were running anywhere form 6 to 20 yard carries with our backs. And remember the clock stops in college with every first down. There has been only one game where we could not run the ball and that was against Florida. We all know with as many backs as we have we should be wearing out the other teams defense with our running game. I don't understand. We can all say it would be different if we had Perilloux, but Coach miles had to do what he had to do, so we play within our game and do what we have to do.
I agree with TCU Dick Bumpas. If he can do what he does with TCU's players he should be awesome at LSU with their talent. Just look at their stats for 2007. LINK
