re: Truths about the BCSNC Game?

I want to say that was Miss St. I may be wrong.

Hate to admit it, but they got he call right. The one they got wrong was the thug half breed #7's personal foul on Dre.

I dont recall, how did he do? Did he get any snaps in the bowl game?

He did, but it was late in the third when the game was well in hand. He did get a lot of snaps last year but was in mop up duty.

And in the Iron Bowl, he held his own but the D let up in that one
WEll I can't say I totally disagree with that one, Although, in last years AU game, he was called on when Mac went down. Not saying he lit them up, but it was experience to build upon.
If I am not mistaken Saban was telling him to calm down because he was getting a little too animated after several big plays followed by a touch down. I really don't think AJ got rattled so to speak.
SIAP about this topic, I haven't seen them so I asked.
Bama's kicking game does give me pause. I know that Saban recruited a kicker that can hit and be a factor in coverage, but they need to get it to the end zone when kicking.
Well I guess this board is for only smack talk and not true discussions. Guess I will go find someone who wants to talk football.

Serious question about the actual game.

Would just like to know what you guys think will be the real difference in the game? Will it be the QB play? Will it be the tenacity that each team plays with? I would just like to know what you folks think.
They are not Tennessee. And, they always seem ready to play.

USA

I am excited about USA's debut today. I hope that they are successful. Joey Jones will do good things in Mobile.
I think Auburn is in good shape for tonight. They will be a lot better than a lot of people give them credit for I think.

I don't see Wash taking LSU.

His show isn't even on live in Mobile anymore, Thank God. This market has lost interest in him long ago. Hopefully this will be his death knell.

I am confident that the game will be competitive. But, winning, no I am not. I am cautiously optimistic because of the level of preparedness that Coach Saban insists on,but will the team respond? I sure as hell hope so.

The game of football is as much mental is it is physical and whether or not the teams will be in the right mindset, is anyone's guess.

Shite just what we need, another entity looking to burn us for something.

You know, sometimes it is hard to be a fan when you come to other fans boards and have to be lumped into the same category as some of the knuckleheads that are so adamant about Alabama's chances. I mean, damn guys, lighten up. No one can say for absolute certain that Bama even shows up. They did play down to the level of our, "gimme" games.

Of course I hope they win, but I am one that thinks even a 1 pt win will be satisfying. LSU gives us our biggest challenge to date.

Yes we are proud of the progress that has been made this year, but don't go buying tickets to Miami yet, it ain't over till it's over.

re: Top Coaching Jobs In The SEC

I think they all are very attractive for a coach.
however I see the Mississippi schools at a large disadvantage as look at the surrounding schools they have to recruit against. If they could get a coach to attract top notch players I believe they would be even better.

Well, there is quite a lack of discipline there.

I know, that is what concerns me.

The Dorsey injury, wasn't that the chop he got in the AU game?

re: New to the Boards

Posted by MikeNBama on 11/4/08 at 10:40 pm to
Well, Cody is listed day to day. They say he was actually able to have played last week, but they chose to keep him out for safety sake. Ihope if he isn't 100% that he doesn't risk a more severe injury that could damage his future. His health is much more important than any football game.

As far as the skin, I think it is thick enough, I just don't want to be one of the trolls that always come to other ppl's boards and spill the koolaid all over the place. I am not drinking it, but there is plenty to go around

I also enjoy talking to rival fans during game week. not bad mouth nor degrade anyone, just talk. I think it is all part of the enjoyment of College Football. However, I apparently struck a nerve with someone by just saying hello. So I guess I'll just read so as not to inflame certain fans. Is ok, I only read other teams boards as well.

New to the Boards

Posted by MikeNBama on 11/4/08 at 10:17 pm
I look forward, every year, to the battle with LSU. This year is no different. It will be a war. I hope it can be a well played game and regardless of the winner, I hope that the rivalry can remain as it has been in the past, a spirited and tough game that all can enjoy.

Good luck Lsu

Josh Chapman, his back up is actually the strongest player on Alabama's roster, we don't lose much when he is in.
