re: Russian Orthodox Church Patriarch has an interesting take on the situation
Posted by gogotigers on 3/16/22 at 7:36 am to obdobd918
The blood of the martyrs has revived Russia. The atheist cancer of communism the globalist bankers injected was defeated and it took the creation of more martyrs than the Church has ever seen. The Orthodox Church is now doing great work in restoring Russia.
To say that same Church with all those martyrs, who is now making a stand against the same globalist depopulation death cult that occupies the western ruling class, is somehow communist agents is quite misinformed.

Kinda, it's more than just an investment play. Russian Orthodoxy is a counter power to the London aristocracy. They used revolution in the form of the virus of communism to attack and weaken their opponent. Also, when these globalists de-populate the world by a 100 million they consider it to be 2 birds with one stone.

The deaths in Russia from the Bolshevik revolutions were heavily weighted Orthodox Christians, it could be called a Christian genocide. The revolutions were primarily from outside promoted and funded by certain Wall Street and London bankers/ monopolist capitalist. Same with Mao who was promoted by David Rockefeller and Yale. These revolutionary interest groups are still very much in power today.
Fortunately, they seem to despise Trump.

is pointed at and exclusively to congress, not other areas of government (individual states, public schools, parks etc..)
It is speaking of laws interfering with free exercise of worship and establishing a specific Christian denomination. It had nothing to do with banning Christianity from the civil and public realm so another religion of secular humanism could establish it’s tyrannical law and dystopian social order in the place of Christianity.
12 the 13 colonies affirmed Christianity the Lordship of Jesus Christ and virtually all of the original state Constitutions affirmed Christianity. The modern statist interpretation that the first amendment establishes a secular civil order is not true.

Biblical teaching affirms God (theos) rules (kratos). You do agree God does rules and reigns over his creation, yes? The entire universe is a theocracy. Christians ought to affirm His rule in all areas of their lives.
re: What areas of government should be privatized?
Posted by gogotigers on 5/21/18 at 4:49 pm to Lsujacket66
The civil realm should only punish evil (violence, theft) in order to restore justice to the victim. Enforce contracts. Protect the border. Everything else it involves itself in is perversion of it's authority.

Good call. Even Josiah took 4 years.
2 Chronicles 34:1-33
Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem. And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, and walked in the ways of David his father; and he did not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet a boy, he began to seek the God of David his father, and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of the high places, the Asherim, and the carved and the metal images. And they chopped down the altars of the Baals in his presence, and he cut down the incense altars that stood above them. And he broke in pieces the Asherim and the carved and the metal images, and he made dust of them and scattered it over the graves of those who had sacrificed to them. He also burned the bones of the priests on their altars and cleansed Judah and Jerusalem
.....Before him there was no king like him, who turned to the Lord with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his might, according to all the Law of Moses, nor did any like him arise after him.

re: Why do morals weigh so heavily in politics?
Posted by gogotigers on 12/14/17 at 10:29 am to Milesahead
Civil government has a God given authority to use violence on those who commit acts that are morally wrong and that are criminal in nature (Romans 13). Therefore, political issue are inherently moral issues.
All government action is backed with violence, determining when those actions are justified are questions around morality.

Who are you to bring judgement on your Creator and His plan? In His redemptive plan mercy and forgiveness is provided through His son Jesus Christ.
You can have this forgiveness by not falling into the same sin as Adam and Eve and questioning the goodness and wisdom of God. Instead put your trust in Jesus Christ and believe the promise, that you will see a time when the consequences of the fall are no more.

It's 2017 and what defines good and evil has not changed in the past 2000 years.
Just like the laws of logic, math and uniformity of nature have not changed, which allowed those mentioned scientic advancement to take place. All of which testify to the Creator himself, who graciously releaved himself in the quoted text.

That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.
Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done. Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents. They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy. They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.

Yes we’ve done a very poor job. We should do a better job of keeping those wishing to do us harm and undermine/ over throw our law order out. All I am saying is if our sight is set on those trying to do harm then inalienable rights for immigrants is salvageable. If we go with the idea we can ban people for ANY arbitrary reasons like they have blonde hair/ blue eyes, or they were born on a certain date or their name is Joe. Reasons like this would be arbitrary, unjust and kill the idea of inalienable rights.

I would say a governments primary means for maintaining health and safety is justice served to the criminals and a recompense for the victim, this leads to minimal infringement on the innocent by the authorities. In my opinion foreigners can be vetted (movement fettered) without violating inalienable rights, if our standard is equitable to all foreigners in doing so. Particular circumstances (like wars with another nation) do impact on how the equity is applied.
Sorry If I have not been clear.

Well theoretical or not, ideas do have consequences, and if you reject inalienable rights it seems one would be stuck left without a logical defense against tyranny.
I do think the inalienable right of liberty found in this nation’s founding documents would impact immigration stances.

I agree with all this. I was just pointing out if inalienable rights do exist then it means ALL people are to be treated equally under the law. Avoiding law infringing on liberties of non-criminals should be a priority. None of us would want our travels impeded on if we were traveling abroad.

Yes they do but that does not equal a justified reason for using the force of government to do it.
Inherently, we should not want to ban people who mean us no harm.

It's inalienable right to be treated equal under the law regardless of nationality. But a government has the right to vet out criminal immigrants to maintain order.
