If ever built, the "super duper dome" should be built in the same place as the existing!
Christine and I were in town this week for a nice getaway before Dauber and I start fall camp.

I treated her to a lovely plate of cheese fries at Cooter Browns but I noticed that someone has felled the large oak at the corner of Leake and Carrollton. All of the shade for that lovely corner is now gone!

I have always liked the appearance of the F9F-6/8 Cougar.

Thanks for noticing. Dauber and Luther and I do our best.
Dauber and I have seen this vehicle while recruiting in New Orleans. It is real.
His one handed interception against Moo State in 2004 stuck with me. Incredible play. Hell of a ball player.

This guy said you can say anything you want to an officer as long as you put "Sir" on the end of it!
You mean there are folks down there in the south just throw hot mix in a hole?
It’s because a good asphalt patch is not easy to execute without an asphalt paver, hot asphalt at proper temperatures, and a properly prepared sub grade. It’s much easier to pull off a concrete patch with the equipment and labor available to a typical municipal maintenance crew.

Asphalt concrete paving is easier when working in long stretches at full lane widths. And even then it takes good equipment and proper execution. Portland cement concrete is generally better suited to an urban environment where service cuts are routine for that and other reasons.
Wasn’t trump also tight with the Jewish attorney Roy Cohn?

Well said.

I have taken it for several years and it has been good for me. I used to struggle badly with almost debilitating anxiety but was apprehensive about taking medication. Overall, it has helped my quality of life with minimal side effects.
These folks need to be able to stand their ground with a regulatory agency. This is done all day every day in private industry and the public sector. Yes, when you’re wrong you’re wrong but even if you are you still fight for fair treatment from said regulator.

Seems to me that a compliance department should be advising the athletic staffs on just how far they can push the rules short of breaking them, rather than serving as the NCAA’s in-house narcs.

If I were still coaching I would want them to keep me out of compliance “jams” but I think you’re at least part of the way correct. It’s a subtle but important difference. I would hope my compliance folks would take a slightly adversarial stance with the NCAA for two reasons. One, to prevent them from rolling us over at their leisure. Two, to ensure fair treatment of my kids and coaches. That’s the same stance I would see any industrial concern taking with any regulator.

NCAA has become a great big “gotcha organization” it seems.
I’ve maintained a long distance relationship with Christine in Minneapolis because regular solitude is good for a man. Enjoy!

I’m very saddened by this. Jerry’s portrayal of the real Luther van Dam was spot on. I actually met him while he was doing character research for the show. I thought he was a very talented and grounded guy.

re: Need advice filing a FEMA Claim

You'll certainly need to find an elite FEMA consultant. Wish I could help.
I did the same a couple of times - the resistor in the mid 2000 models must have been problematic. I believe I went through two resistors and one new blower motor.
Dauber and I were in town today recruiting. We are ambivalent towards the monuments as out of towners but please consider this anecdote:

We sat in traffic for probably 20 minutes at a fairly major intersection within which an RTA bus had broken down. There were no city vehicles to be found in aid of the bus, nor were there any police to direct traffic. This was at approximately 5:30 this evening.

One can debate the merits of the removal of the statues however if I were a taxpayer I would question why already limited resources are being used for items which on the surface appear to be symbolic over substance.
Christine and I have joint checking and joint savings. It works for us but I wouldn't presume to say it would work for everyone. We have comparable incomes and we talk on a daily basis about money and we've never had a problem. I think joint accounts can work when everyone communicates clearly. Sure, there will be moments of animosity but I can't imagine that would go away completely if we had separate accounts.
I always ground the black cable on the block of the car with the receiver battery. It's saved me from some "boo boo's" in the past.
One of my favorite moments with Tom Fitzmorris occurred on a Saturday afternoon where Tom was discussing his favorite burgers in the south. Some gentleman called in to extol the virtues of "Steak and Shake" to which Tom cooly and in his somewhat snarky way replied "I don't think Steak and Shake is very good at all".
That pot is in decent shape and will clean up nicely if you do what others in this thread have recommended. A power drill and some wire brushes or a hand grinder and a few rounds of seasoning will preserve it for years to come.

My fondest memories are the Golden Flake commercials between segments.

I recall the commercial from the early 90's where Curley was trying to give away a Southern Miss "swagger wagon".

Edited to add: Maybe it was the late 1980's, those days blend together in memory.

Craig T Nelson for the win!

I'll hand it to him, he got me more right than he did wrong with his portrayal.
