Loston is redshirting. I know this for a fact bc i talked to a player i wont name. Lets just say he is highly reliable tho. word is he cant seem to pick up the playbook bc he came into camp too late

shep hasnt gashed ULL or Vandy...but he's gonna gash UF...haha come on guy, be serious here.

re: Patrick Peterson

Posted by sabanfan2010 on 9/20/09 at 10:03 pm to
i just havent seen what i thought i was from Jones. Yes, he got 2 int's but it was ULL. I like him, i guess i just thought he would step into that Laron Landry mode. We really havent seen any crushin hits over the middle for him. and this is not the NFL, who cares about the pro bowl. If Jenkins or Haden get 4-5 int's they might get chosen by numbers. Peterson is something special tho.

Patrick Peterson

NOBODY throws his way with confidence. ULL seemed to never wanna go his way. Is it possible for him to be All-SEC without the stats such as 4-5 INT's??

..he turning out to be a great corner. I cant wait to see him at the next level!

We'd be unstoppable with Jacory at QB

i think we'd def be better on offense and we would be more fluid. UM looks like they are having so much fun this year. throwin the ball all over the field. And for those who says UM has a better o-line, can anyone really name a person off of it without lookin it up?

re: Jacory Harris or JJ

Posted by sabanfan2010 on 9/20/09 at 9:46 pm to
JJ came here as a pro-style QB tho. And Harris is mobile enough to get yards when in trouble so that comparison is not a good one. They both were prostyles comin out

JJ LINK

Harris LINK

...harris was also ranked higher, but his HS team was also a factor winnin a mythical HS National Championship

re: Jacory Harris or JJ

Posted by sabanfan2010 on 9/20/09 at 9:42 pm to
yea, i also think Harris is on another level separated from JJ. I think JJ will have a hard time with those dink and dunk passes against UF because their corners like to play up and be physical. So i dnt think those behind the LOS plays will be effective

Jacory Harris or JJ

Posted by sabanfan2010 on 9/20/09 at 9:38 pm
what do you guys think?? I like JJ, but Harris is also a Sophomore and his throws look so much better, no matter what he is throwin. And i know his WR's are not better than ours.
this ranking is probabyly becasue they take into account some of his coaching at OSU i bet. But with the talent he can bring in here, skys the limit for Les Miles

re: LSU in Financial Problems??????

Posted by sabanfan2010 on 4/20/09 at 11:34 am to
actually my board of supervisors schollie was giving to me randomly. i didnt even apply for it. i just got an email one day about it and accepted it.
thanks to these budget cuts, i will probably lose my board of supervisors schollie and my financial aid job. but im glad we worry that our athletics program is ok before we look at education. Nice to see that we get a new baseball stadiums, yet some places on campus look like shite. i love LSU but i swear the priorities are not where they need to be. Guess if i was an athlete i wouldnt have anything to worry about tho. I mean, since they all leave school early most of the time and dont even finish school. Not bitching, just needed to vent lol. Whew! Geaux Tigers '09!!!!

6'4 really means about 6'2. D.Byrd was listed at 6'3 and he measure 6'0 at his pro day lol.

Yes without a doubt. Just another year of growing and working out in a college workout program is a big leg up. Let alone actually learning the playbook and getting snaps at practice

there is no substitute for in-game experience. i dont care who you practice against. you can only do so much in the weight room. if youre not on the field, you dont know what its like to be out there in the fire.

a year on the bench and watching games really gives you an up on the incoming guy eh??. both had 0 experience. Lee had the playbook longer. thats it.

some of you on here don't know what a true frosh and redshirt frosh are like the poster of this thread,

never said he was a 'true freshman'. not once. i said he was a freshman.

no he was a redshirt FRESHMAN

oh yea Lee got a lot of time on the bench his "redshirt year". He was as experienced in gametime play as jefferson was when the season started. Only advantage he has was that he knew the playbook better. Was greg oden a "reshirt" rookie in the NBA also?
can LSU recruit anyone who weighs more than 200lbs. its getting ridiculous. we are so small that it enables us to be physical. Saturday i saw somebody just take the ball from Chris Johnson because he is so small and weak. We dont need a 215 PF. Wee need a 230-240lb PF with some strength to bang in the post.

ratings mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The fact that you jut brought that shows me you know NOTHING.

Stop bashing Jarrett Lee...

for anybody bashing JL, you have no clue how hard the QB position is to play. True JL stunk it up out there, but he was only a freshman. Just because he knew the playbook did not mean he was going to come out and WOW everybody. If i had a guess, most of the people bashing him are out of shape and could never play the QB position. I doubt anybody on this board ever held a scholarship offer from any major D1 program. The kid was a FRESHMAN. Dont expect him to come out gunslinging the ball around and throwing 3 td's a game. What miles and crowton should have done is simplify the playbook in the same manner in which they are now doing with the defense. He should have come out throwing short quick passes that got him in a comfort zone. he never got comfortable in games because he had everyone going against him before the game even started. We didnt need him to win games this season. Just avoid the mistakes. I think if the LSU "fans" would have shown him a little confidence, he might have shown some in himself. I was one of the fans who would bash lee, but being a former QB i know there is a lot of pressure on him to play well, because there is no harder position to play. In the case that JJ does go down, you will be happy to know we have someone with experience like Lee. He had no prior game experience prior to this season. Practice is not the same thing as the game no matter how you look at it. So give Lee a break and cheer for him to be a good backup next year.

that picture is deceving. i see him everyday in the dining hall and he is still very rail looking. His calves and very small and his arms are skinny. His forearms look to be getting bigger tho. He may have gained the weight, but it does not show. Now Patrick Peterson on the other hand looks like an NFL CB in my eyes very soon. He is very well built for his age and height. He will be a force this fall barring any injuries. Mark it.
he got replaced by a freshman at the end of the year. for being a 5 star recruit coming out of high school he has not lived up to the hype. im not knocking the guy but i jut dont see him leading in INT's. However, with Chad Jones at full time FS, i expect some big things out of him. including INT's.

re: anyone else think

if you've seen the kids highlight tape, you would know he is not overrated. the kid is a work horse on the field. He's a reggie bush type back that you want in space such as on screens and dump offs. Lache is the perfect back for whatg we are trying to do with our spread offense. The athletes are all coming into place here at LSU and we will be a force to reckon with for the next 4 years IMHO. No, he is not the in between tackle runner. but thats what we got Michael Ford for. If Lache comes here, i see him and ford being Thunder and Lightning©. And of course Ridley will be a man amongst boys on the fields.

yea Brooks was a sold athlete in high school. He did it all for his school including playin QB. I would like to see him get a chance at some punt returns and KR. Chad Jones is good at PR but he doesn't seem to have the quickness to take it to the house. He makes a couple nice moves and then gets tackled.
