AI and robots will replace PAs, NPs, PRNs, RNs before MDs.
Right now, PAs and NPs are seeing people for MDs, that can be replaced by a Kiosk. Nursing shortages will be a thing of the past with 24/7 robotics.
Medical schools will pivot and new specialties and training will come out of this, but they will never be eliminated. Human surgeons have critical, instant decision making skills that robots are not capable of possessing. If we ever get to the point they do, no one will have a job. it will be Skylab time.

The Iranians squeezed every last breath out of those planes. 45+ years and still flying……..until two days ago.
My thought. There are standing orders to be carried out if there is a loss of communication from the leadership. They were told carry retaliatory orders out until otherwise instructed. Unless they have confirmation regarding loss of command, they probably assume they are in hiding. As all Iranians know, if you don’t follow orders you will be eliminated.
