They have smokehouse on the french settlement/port vincent line called porche's. His sausage is great, it has a heavy smoke flavor but doesn't take over. If you're in the area I recommend trying some.

Charlie's is definitely better for seafood but for steaks I think you gotta go to Dutch's. He's a little pricey but he cooks em himself and uses the best meat. If anybody doesn't know Dutch's is a few miles south of Moonlight on hwy 16 in the old T-Pete's building.
