Did he just get out of prison also?

Ole Miss mods were melting so hard last night they were convinced Lane would end up in an orange jumpsuit.
He’s not slowing down. Ruston and Ahmad Hudson also got a visit.

He probably bought stock in Clario Tech before making that post. It’s a masterclass in getting a maximum return from a subtle troll.

think this one is more for depth...
But the ideal kind of depth. Still has multiple years of eligibility remaining and developmental potential.

He might be better suited as a Guard, but has played hundreds of snaps at Tackle, so he also has versatility and experience.

He’s a depth piece that will battle for playing time. Either earning a starting spot, or be a key backup with flexibility to be plugged in at multiple positions.

So its possible you wont see names pop up until Monday or Tuesday even if they "enter" today.

From my recollection, the by-laws specifically state “48 hours” from the time the player submits his paperwork to the compliance office. I don’t think there is a carve-out for business days.

Any players entering today would have to show up in the portal by Sunday.

Not to mention on the field, you know some of these guys that leave will have the rest of the team absolutely hating them for it.

This might be the most innocuous quote pulled from a post full of threats and apocalyptic ramblings, but it shows just how detached from reality some of them they are.

The remaining players aren’t going to be filled with vengeful hate towards anyone that transfers. That’s not how they are wired. They certainly aren’t going to attack them on the field.

I think their scholarships are terminated if they find themselves in the portal with no takers

A school can not cancel a scholarship if a player enters the portal.

However, scholarships are year-to-year agreements. They can’t cancel the current one, but they don’t have to give him another one.

The ‘student’ would be able to remain in school on a scholarship through the Spring Semester, maybe even through the Summer, but there is nothing to prevent a school from not renewing it for the next academic year.

He can stay in school, remain in good academic standing (if that even matters to the NCAA anymore), and try to find somewhere new over the summer.
Just as rumors were flying that the Giants screwed up their courtship of Harbaugh, and were back to square one because their entire coaching search was focused on him.

The goal on Wednesday was to come to an agreement, or at least have him shut down his interviews with other teams. Instead, he left town with no deal and a meeting with the Titans scheduled for Thursday morning.

I guess that means the Titans and Falcons strike out again. At least Harbaugh made it to the Atlanta interview.
Klubnik’s entire 2025 season was such a huge dropoff from 2024 that I’m not sure if any improvements throughout the season mattered.

I would think it's just multi year starters not 30 starts since that would be 3 years and almost no good QBs start for 3 years anymore

Correct. Passes attempted is used almost as much as games started in the current era.

Scouts like to see QBs closer to 1,000 pass attempts spread over multiple seasons, rather than a single season with only 400 attempts, in order to properly grade a QB. Also, those QBs have meet that criteria are generally better prepared for the NFL and have a better success rate.
I was under the impression he was hurt in the opener, and that derailed his season. I know Lunch Winfield had a breakout season once he got the opportunity.

After four years in college, Howard stats:

23/51 (45%)
218 yds (4.3 Y/A)
0 Tds
3 Ints
My first reaction was that Incarnate Word will not be TJ’s seventh different school, because he’s already been there once.

I was confusing Finley’s list of previous schools with those of Lindsey Scott, Jr.

BTW, after his lone season at UIW ended and his eligibility ran out in 2022. Lindsey Scott didn’t give up on college. UIW head coach GJ Kinne was hired away by Texas State and took most of his staff and a few players with him. Lindsey Scott followed along to become an analyst.

Their first big portal signing at Texas State:
TJ Finley

After two seasons on staff at Texas State, Scott “transferred” to Texas Tech last offseason to follow Mack Leftwich when the Red Raiders hired him as OC.

iPad is just a student
That rules out Lane, Knox, assistant coaches, their families, any number of analysts.

with a love for LSU football
A lot of students love LSU football, but iPad seems to have a personal investment in it, and obviously has a close association with the football program directly or indirectly.

has some free time on his hands
The week or so before the Spring semester starts is usually a hectic time for students, but there’s also a lot of fun to be had without the demands of college classes.

Having a part-time job would eat up any free time. So, it’s a student that doesn’t need to earn extra money, but he isn’t wasting that time hitting the bars or out socializing. That means he probably has a girlfriend.
His free time isn’t spent helping friends move back onto campus or into a new apartment, so he must have an excuse.

- A close and passionate connection to LSU.
- Student
- Does not need to earn extra money for college expenses
- Has a girlfriend
- An excuse or inability to carry furniture up and down stairs (injury?)
- Bored?

IPad is Whit Weeks!

Agents are charging college athletes between 10-20%,

The athletes don’t seem to notice they are being are fleeced the by their representatives, and no one is complaining about that huge chunk .

Yet, politicians think that the same 19-20 year old is suddenly going to base their transfer decision on a few more percentage points they will owe on the back end?

One reason why NIL has exploded is because of all the agents, quasi-agents, and their representatives flocking to this new goldmine in their industry. NIL/Portal representation is the golden goose in that field.

I think a lot of people have a similar view. It’s a hard franchise to connect with. I was briefly an Oilers fan in my youth because my father was a fan, but they moved about the same time I was becoming invested in them.

Nothing about the Texans has ever interested me. In fact it’s the opposite. There’s nothing worse than a Texans prime time or playoff game.

However, their defense caught my attention a couple of years ago. I can’t explain exactly why, but this season I’ve really enjoyed watching them whenever I’ve caught a game.

More than once I’ve stuck around for at least a couple of series of Texans football even if there is another game occurring that I’m far more interested in. I actually enjoy their games now, and I hope they make a run, but CJ can be painful to watch if he’s struggling
It’s obvious this road playoff game in prime time is too big for him. At the very least, he wasn’t ready for this stage.

Stroud probably would have multiple TDs if this was the early Saturday game.

Rivalries are fun. What a bitch

I know a couple of lifelong Packer fans, one is in his mid-40’s, the other is early 50’s, and both HATE the Bears. Only one is old enough to remember the Bears 85 Super Bowl. Otherwise, it’s been 30 years of Packers dominance.

If they hate the Bears after all that success, then I imagine anyone associated with the Chicago Bears really hates the Packers.
Looking at that Al Davis list is funny because it confirms his reputation. If someone stood out for any reason. Whether it was a big leg, a cannon for an arm, or blazing speed, then Al Davis would draft regardless of any other concerns.

The vast majority of true freshmen don’t. Curne was an exception because he was a 5 star, but he struggled to play tackle in the SEC, as well.
i agree. Not playing as a freshman is not an indictment at all for a lineman.

He was also a 4* recruit. That designation will always boost the appeal of transfers considerably, regardless of their track record in college.

He was a highly prized recruit only a year ago. He’s had a year in a weight and nutrition program, he’s experienced a year in the life of a college athlete, and he’s now more mature, and still has four years of eligibility.

In many ways he’s a more prized recruit than he was coming out of high school.
