re: Parent advice with kid about to start driving- insurance etc
Posted by rattlebucket on 1/17/26 at 9:08 am to BBJ
The ins company gets info from
Dmv I believe. They told me any licensed driver living in my house had to be on the policy unless we specifically exclude them from driving the vehicle.
I have a 20 yr old and 18 yr old driving. $600/mo for their 2012 and 2014 cars.
16 yr old son will be added later this yr. Mortgage/rent type numbers per month in just car insurance when adding up our cars too. Ridiculous!!!

Hunted backyard this am before office work. Saw 2 spikes a doe and a coyote 2 mins behind one of the spikes. When the last spike approached the food plot that the doe was in, he started giving quick locator grunts. She ran off immediately from his grunting. He fed for maybe 1 min then quietly slipped away following her. Was he warning of the coyote?

Yeah in ice/water protected from elements. Plants survive in ice. I would just be surprised a reptile surviving 5 ft in the air in single digits. Some humans would freeze to death like that even with cold gear on.
Im trying to work through this and prevent wearing knights armor in the woods going forward

I was speaking snakes in general but you’re telling me that snake can sit in that tree at 5 degrees not even accounting for windchill and survive?

And for those who believe their 2A stockpiles will prevent potential tyranny, unfortunately they are mistaken. Lead is useless against invisible weaponized EMF
Then lets develop them for law abiding citizens
And I wouldnt be too sure. There are 400 million guns in America that we know about. 3D printed guns probably brings that number to 500+. So every man woman and child can have a firearm. Unless you nuke large swaths with the DEW, tyrants are getting shot eventually

Small private piece where after further review, yesterday AM wasnt the target 8. It was a new buck.
Bow only here due to proximity of houses
Running out of time before traveling for work gets in the way

abundance of acorns
It has to be this. Very low activity year for me on the little piece I hunt in Wharton LA
I filled almost 3 buckets of acorns out my neighbors paved driveway. The deer are eating them next to corn and I think food source is holding them in the woods. We were still dropping acorns well into December
