Locks are a delay in a security plan. Its if there is a breach/last resort. The pilots arent getting up clearing the cabin with their sig. But 100% some pilots are carrying firearms. They train in Phoenix annually.

Wouldve been possible if he breached cockpit. Many pilots that are trained annually carry handguns in the cockpit.
