Start with Zing-Zang.
Get a bamboo skewer and spear it with 2 dz. Louisiana crawfish tails and sprinkle with your favorite Cajun/Creole seasoning.
Trappey's pickled okra
Get olives and pickled garnishes from LINK ]Santa Barbara Olive Co.[/link. They have killer stuffed olives in addition to asparagus, green beans, mushrooms, tiny corn, and cocktail onions.

Totally an unfair match up. But I vote for Couchon, if you do the following:
Order everything on the “small plates” and “boucherie” sections of the menu and share with the tables, pass the plates around, tell the waitstaff to send them out a few at a time so you don't get bombarded. It's about 13-14 separate dishes, so 4 people will get a couple of bites of everything, and you’ll have eaten just about every different part of the pig except the oink. Also ask for their homemade moonshine, it's not on the menu.

Bar Tonique
820 Rampart Street across from Armstrong Park
open late
dimly lit, quiet, gritty New Orleans atmosphere
the drinks: if you've ever heard the saying, "they don't make 'em like they used to", well they do at Tonique. Not fru-fru, just real.

Vizard's on Magazine St.
Apples and oranges, but La Boca based on bang for your buck, and carving their own path by being a little different.

I hate to say it, but I freakin' love that Mississippi beer. The Abitas seem to have gotten very similar with all their offerings. Obviously, there are exceptions like Turbodog, Andygator, and the fruity ones. This summer, I'll be spending it with more of my Indian friends fa' sho'.
That's a good one, even though I figured it was a 4/1. Nice looking site (crawfish.com) and hilarious articles. Definitely worth a read, might even learn something new.
