re: DREW BREES reaches agreement with Saints!!!(5 yr. 100-mill deal)

Cha ching!!
They do show their hand quite often with the packages that are on the field, BUT with the talent that each of the backs have, there's always the chance that Ingram can hit the flats for a screen or Sproles can take a power up the middle.
Defenses have to respect it, and that's enough to keep them honest.
eta: I use the word "power" loosely

I'm much better with my cane than that.

If I'm a fan of the #Saints I let the league know how disgusted I am the only way I can. With my wallet.
This sounds like a reverse-psychological way of turning us against the Saints.

If you watch some of his interviews you'll get a better feel for who he is. He didn't want to do Hangover 2 because he felt it was too soon and forced.
He's just doing his job. People are paying him a lot of money to act stupid. He's just paying the bills. It's not that serious.

As the days pass, more people are starting to demand more facts and less speculation. If we can get the sports media like ESPN, like them or not, on our side, then it can turn things around.

Any updates on Ingram's foot injury...is he 100%?
What about PT's concussion he received in the NFC companionship game...is he 100%?
I do not have updates on this. I guess I should have done my research.
Anyone else know?

Thanks for the kind words, but I have to earn it.
I'll be around. I just don't like getting caught up in the nega-saintard-ranting-shite-talks.
Also, my job once again allows me to hang out with you good people on a 7-5 mon-fri basis.
That said, my passion for this team and the whodat nation run deep.

The 4 Headed Monster--A Great Problem To Have

Is there another backfield in the league with this much depth? I think not.
With the running back position having evolved to work by committee, it seems the Saints are taking the approach of having a back ready for every situation. I think the depth chart should read 1a, 1b, 1c, 2 with Ingram, PT, Sproles and Ivory, respectively.
All this coming from the team that led the NFL in passing last year.
I know the offense has not been the problem of this team by any means, but with the new mindset since 2006, you can never have enough scoring power.
oops
Barring a complete massacre of a job by the new coaching situation, I can't see this offense stumbling as long as 9 is under center.
If Spags can force some turnovers, we have a great shot at taking that shiny football from Hitler in our own home.
Damn, I'm ready for football season.

Maybe someone will buy my truck now.

If Reggie wasn't returning punts this year Brees would have broken Dan Marino's record FACT

That one was too easy Shank. It was better left alone.

Chris Mortenson said he looked great in camp yesterday afternoon. Reggie probably just didn't feel like walking to the locker room. That man has pull around there.

Absolutely.
They should follow suit. Unless there's more behind the legal side of it that I'm not familiar with. That would be nice though. Although I think Grant was going to use the suspension as the reason he lost his starting job to McCray.
It's way easier than this thread has made it...
Colston 1 > (healthy)Moore 2 > Devery 3
That's how Drew wants it, that's how I like it.
eta: subject to changes in training camp of course

quote:No doubt. And while I think Pierre will get more goal line carries, I still believe Reggie is more dangerous in the red zone coming out the backfield, from the slot, or even lined up wide. Line backers don't have an answer for him.
Reggie will still run back a couple of punts
