re: Did UGA really run away from Clowney?

Clowney = Simeon Rice when he was at Illinois. All the media hype, average to above average play, nothing stellar to justify the hype. Rice was a bust in the NFL.
I disagree on this one. Although he was a very high draft pick 122 sacks, 3 pro bowls and a super bowl ring is definitely not a bust. With a 12 year career he basically averaged around 10 sacks per year.
re: From 1-10 (10 best) how happy are you with your recruiting class?

I give us a 10 with the circumstances. I was going to say 9.5 but Tenpenny and Lacy were never coming here to begin with.
re: Murray for Heisman?
Posted by MRazorback on 11/25/12 at 3:09 pm to deeprig9
He's had a heck of a year no doubt with 30 td's and 7 picks. However Johnny Manziel showed up against Alabama. Against the only two tough defenses Murray faced he is 23 of 56 for 259 yards with 1 td and 4 picks.
He would need to beat Bama and go 28 of 35 for 400 and 5 touchdowns or something crazy like that.

If Arkansas somehow gets bowl eligible I'll do the same celebration.

No reason to hate on the guy. When our fans posted the article about all the things Knile Davis had to overcome fans from other schools gave respect.

So the hope of our fanbase hinges on the word of this guy smh.

We have the senile version of a coach that was already mediocre.

I watched that game, I'll be honest when you guys were down I was wondering if you could have the biggest loss margin of the day to make me feel better lol. The difference is your team didn't quit no matter how bad it got. Your crowd state for awhile too.
re: ULM /Arky No post game hand shake? ...stay classy Arkansas
Posted by MRazorback on 9/9/12 at 8:29 am to bbvdd
I honestly thought Louisiana Monroe would go for 4th one after Tevin Mitchell got knocked out. I think the other coach punted just because of what had happened. Also his players took a knee while Tevin was hurt. We know Bobby was classless, but now you have a classless coach that loses to sunbelt teams.
re: Worst QB in past decade
Posted by MRazorback on 8/7/12 at 7:14 am to heartbreakTiger
Casey Dick's performance 2006 against LSU will never be forgotten. 3/17 for a whopping 29 yards.
In that same game Mcfadden had 181 yards rushing and felix jones had 132. So with LSU focusing solely on the run he still couldn't complete more than 3 passes!

I would think that they have at least told the players using social media to refrain from disparaging remarks about the university, and using profanity but who knows.

I always was ok with the players being able to express themselves to a certain extent. However our players do seem to be very liberal with their words on twitter from time to time, so I'm not as high on players using social media as I used to be.

When you read the whole thing its not bad at all. You have to add the part where he says the nfl players have bigger size along with the speed.

Didn't the Auburn players robbery involve a weapon? I can't remember either way it sucks for an already screwed up offseason.
re: RE: Jarius Wright and Greg Childs
Posted by MRazorback on 4/29/12 at 9:39 pm to lob1284
Jarius didn't run since he did a 4.41 at the combine. I think Joe ran a 4.48 as his fastest and Childs ran either a 4.41 or a 4.39.
re: How many Arky wr's have been drafted thus far?
Posted by MRazorback on 4/28/12 at 12:02 pm to Razorologist
You know I wondered if teams would bring that up, it seems so long ago but I guess it was only a little more than two years ago. He has been even better since it happened.
re: It will be difficult for SEC team...
Posted by MRazorback on 4/28/12 at 11:03 am to BamaScoop
I'm not seeing a loss,
Especially since they beat Oregon last year I can't see Oregon having a shot this year. It may sound crazy but the Washington game could be a trap game on the road.

Is this based off of where they will be drafted? I still think our guys can be good pros.

Jarius Wright, D.J. Williams and Felix Jones were all four stars probably can't count them as under the radar.

Neither is a suitable example because you've never won the west under dildo.
I never said we won the west or have had the same amount of success. I was drawing a parallel of how coaches that are revered by a fanbase would be given more leeway. If Petrino was 6-6 last year this would have been over thursday night.
I ultimately feel we keep him. If it were me I would do a four game suspension, even knowing that includes the bama game. I think a two game suspension of the two cupcakes doesn't send a that strong of a message.

That's possible, I guess a better example would be Saban. Despite having a lot of success Miles seems to catch heat a lot from LSU fans.

Definitely will have to bump this thread if a scandal comes out at another SEC school thats winning a lot of games and see the reaction.

re: Your teams fastest football player?
Posted by MRazorback on 4/9/12 at 10:53 pm to oklahogjr
I think Knile is the fastest as far as the 40. If we are doing the 100 meter it would be Cobi Hamilton followed by wingo.
Here is that link from Cobi in high school as the anchor for the winning team. He made up a lot of ground.

D.J Williams definitely is one of my favorite hogs. I think Gragg's size and speed gives him more upside though.
Arkansas biggest problems

I see packdaddy already made a topic similar to this one, but I haven't posted in awhile.
All summer I told fellow hog fans how much bigger and faster we are as a team, and I still believe that. When we lined up on the field with Bama it showed how far we are still behind them. A comparison of Ronnie Wingo and Trent Richardson and Eddie Lacy shows the difference in physicality. I believe Knile Davis is the type of back with the speed and physicality needed to get to a championship level.
Our Best guy in the secondary is Tremaine Thomas who plays with a lot of heart and is good, but still not the physically imposing kind found at LSU or Bama. It's like we will get a guy like Daunte Carr who is a redshirt frosh I believe who is now 6'2 212 but he can't see the field.
Chris Smith is a good player he is a sophomore DE #42, he started in place of bequette and had many close calls to sacking McCarron. Reportedly ran a 4.5 this spring. My thing is if smith really runs 4.5 or even a 4.6 or 4.7 at 6.2 250 he would be a linebacker at Bama. Darius Winston was a 5 star who came in with Dre Kirkpatrick and Greg Reid from FSU. Perhaps he just is not as talented as those guys(I think Kirkpatrick is tops in country)but for some reason I think if Winston was at Alabama he would be a better product on the field. I want a new D Coordinator and secondary coach, both of these postions are now occupied by Willy Robinson.

That's a good pickup. If he's as good as advertised his recruiting is far from over though, but a great start nonetheless.
