What a great story line for a non-AQ to end the SEC NC streak.

Sugar Bowl Prediction:
LSU v BSU
Careful LSU fans - don't belittle Georgia too much if they lose or it might come back to bite you in the arse.

Upsets, by definition, are the exception.
Just answer me this.
For a team that usually wins, why would you consider each victory to be an upset?

6-1 against highly ranked BCS teams.
BSU winning 6 out of 7 cannot be considered a fluke Wilsonhater - it can only be considered a blatant pattern. And while pretending it's not there might make you feel better, it won't make it go away.

Those Bronco's are the luckiest bastards on the planet! They keep just happening to play overrated program after overrated program and then they also keep just happening to be better each time they play them.
Ahhh, you have no idea how much I enjoy watching someone having to stretch things so far in order to support their opinion. It truly is a thing of beauty to witness.

Because my next connection was to let everyone know that Boise also gets ND's endowment, academics and alumni base.

You know what my favorite is? When people quote how stellar someone's SOS ranking is and then ignore they dropped several games.
"They play a tough schedule"
"Ah yeah. . . . and lose! Pretty sure Boise could do that too."
But come on WilsonHater, you know this isn't about objectivity here. You feel threatened by the little guy and want him to be put back in his place.
It's the age old story of local guy being threatened because the new kid is taking his girlfriend.
It's just too dam bad that you know Daniel is going to eventually win the tourney and walk out with Ali.
By the way, I think I might still have a little crush on Ali.

Ah hey guys - have you forgot I'm the one you are all arguing with??
Sheesh, I leave for a couple hours and I'm 4 pages back!
I've heard it said that BSU is new ND when it comes to it being a polarizing topic. You either love them or despise them.
Which is why their TV ratings are always high.

I was pointing it out more to illustrate that the loss of top WR can be mitigated to a degree through team play.
Would I prefer superstars? Sure, but Boise has proven it can win with that "spread-the-love" model at wide out.

If boise did luck into a win there, do you think yall could turn around and win in death valley the next week? Then play Florida, followed by Georgia?
Boise might win this game. Boise could open the year with last year's national champion for the next 10 years and go 10-0, and it still wouldn't' change the fact that getting up for one, MAYBE 2 big games a year is absolutely in no way comparable to getting up for 6-8 big games a year like we do in the SEC.
I don't know. It'd be an a$$ kicker and I'm not going to say they'd be able to do it.
However, if they were playing that schedule, they could drop a game and still make the NC.
They would not have to go undefeated for the past 4 years to get a sniff at the NC like they do right now.

Will be a 6 to 7 player rotation, which is more actually typical at BSU. That makes it hard for the DC to key in on one or two top wide outs.
It is a ? mark. Lost two top WR to the NFL last year.

I'm betting they will be.
why?
I left out that recruiting improves every single season. The younger players each year keep taking the team to a new level. This year will be no different.
But tell you what. If they are as good as they were last year, I will be ecstatic. They were a choked field goal away from the Rose Bowl.
These coaches are ridiculous on how they can keep making the teams so good each year.

what makes you think Boise will be any better or even on par with last year's team?
The defensive line looks to be the best in school history.
Our two running backs will be among the best in the nation.
Our QB is back for his senior year.
The Nevada loss last year will burn the message into everyone's heads that, you can not let up at all, not even for 1 half of 1 game.
The reality is, I do not know if they will be better - it'll be up to them to prove it every week, but I'm betting they will be.
And despite all the hate for Georgia in here. . . . they are still Georgia and they are still loaded with talent.
They are going to be a great test and a rare shot at redemption.

You guys might beat Georgia, they are a team that follows their coach into the ranks of choking. BSU couldn't handle the SEC on a week to week basis though, I would like to see you try it however.
I would too because these sorts of comments are dropped all the time like it's some sort of fact.
The only fact is that no one knows if they could do it because they have never had the chance . . . and will never get it so SEC fans can hang their hat on that comment from now until the end of time.
I'm not trying to beat that emotional argument. I just want BSU to hand Georgia a 48-13 payback 6 years in the making.

Busey: [Takes hard swig of SEC kool-aid] There's really not much to it. We've beaten much more impressive teams. So have State and Ole Miss.

Hate to break it to you, but BSU fans are not out envying your school's history.

You know 1980. . . . back when elite schools had ALL the talent.
Back when you could legitimately talk schmack about how you either belonged or you didn't.
1980 - back before these crappy realities brought parity to the playing field:
- Limiting programs to 85 scholarships
- ESPN bringing ability to play on TV to everyone
- Elite coaches staying at smaller schools
- Elite bowl games being accessible to smaller programs
If only we could all go back to those good ol' days!

No, it's not.
LSU is still LSU. You'd have to have a lot of down seasons to undo that and even then it probably wouldn't happen (see ND).

For Boise St., La. Tech was a big conference game for them. Easy to get up for that game.
The difference is in the schedules."
Wow.
Denial isn't just a river in Egypt. Apparently it flows directly through the heads of some LSU fans.
Let this serve as an undeniable example of how college football fans are more interested in validation than they are in objectivity.

Boise state has to win all their games and if they get snubbed (last year...ahem), they certainly cant blow their game to ANOTHER non AQ team. This year they got the preseason ranking they needed to be in the driver seat, but opted to take their out of conference games to less than .5 bowling green and tulsa, one-win miami ohio, and uc davis. they brought their ONE tough game to boisewith a rookie head coach's first game.
Wow. Chest thumping over a 1 point victory in a bowl game that could have so easily gone the other way 10 different times. Amazing.
And the blatent excuse making for the Oregon losing is
And when they can't get it done, when the results on the field show what empty BS they spewed as they, in Pat Forde's words, "got dominated by BSU" (which they did), apologists with self promoting agendas such as yourself come to life.
And spare me the stupid Georgia game from freaking 2005. Hawkins had lost his team's confidence, it was the WORSE BSU team in the past 10 years and Z single-handedly gift wrapped 6 turn overs in the 1rst half.
Good hell, to ignore the impact of those pathetic turnovers by one player and still point to that as "what happens when BSU plays the SEC" is embarrassing.
BSU v LSU in September would be nationally hyped as big as any game in 2011. The Oregon / Boise game hype was incredible and ESPN still talks about that game (and will for the rest of this season and beyond).
You're not firing on all cylinders if you think that this game would not benefit LSU. Of course, unless by "would not benefit" you really are saying "are scared to expose the SEC as being repeatedly unable to defeat the best non-AQ's"
Hmmmm. I mean, that would suck to have to pretend that game didn't happen so you could continue to live in your elitist world. But listen, Oregon, Oklahoma and Alabama all made it through. Maybe not. Oregon is still trying to pretend it didn't happen.
But wouldn't it be worth the risk just to shut up the fans?
PS - I do respect the SEC and LSU, but I get tired of the typical SEC fan behavior.
