Referee: Shawn Hochuli

I still remember him absolutely butchering Pac-12 games. No idea how he made it to the NFL other than nepotism.

Guarantee it's Oregon's idea. Just like their Joey Heisman Time Square stunt back in the day and always changing uniforms. They're about all about promotion.

Was just about to say this. It's a way to hype up their program. Kinda like when Lanning released the video that he's staying in Eugene after Saban left when Alabama never offered him.
Rumor is he did this all without telling his agent. This confirms it.
I've gotta think this will set some sort of precedent moving forward. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. Pretty wild to sign a contract and then try to bail a few days later. I hope there's some sort of consequence that Williams will face that will deter this in the future.

I think he's a stud. He lights up mediocre to bad defenses, but disappears against good ones. Great for a first year starting Sophomore but would be disappointing if he doesn't get better in that regard.

Also, pretty messed up of him on his announcement timing. The team and coaches were attending a memorial service for a UW soccer player who died of cancer when they all found out via social media.

They don't have a 1st round pick in the next draft.
That's basically what happened when DeBoer left UW for Alabama. The only difference is DeBoer left after the transfer portal had closed. I think UW had something like 60 new players the year after playing in the National Title game.

When before 2000 the most wins your program had was 9, and hell that happened only like 7 times in almost 90 years.

Oregon - Phil Knight = Oregon State
I have no idea why the Steelers gave that guy a huge contract. As a Seahawks fan, I was hoping they'd cut him loose. Good player on a rookie contract, but a terrible player on a $30M/year contract.
This punter definitely has money on the game.

Trick play of the century!
quote:

Word out of Austin is that Pete Kwiatkowski‘s background is with the defensive front seven. He knows how to coach the DL and LBers, but he needs the right fit on his staff to coach DBs for his defenses to work.

Instead of overhauling the DB coaching staff for the second year in a row and trying to find the right fit for Kwiatkoski’s defense, he reached out to Muschamp to see if he was interested.

Muschamp showed interest, so Sark fired PK.

What was wrong with the defense that it needed an overhaul? It was still 11th ranked in the country per the metrics on the previous page. I'd be shocked if the offense was ranked in the top 30.

I wonder if he goes to USC if Lynn leaves.

Not sure he would be a fit in LA. I could see him just taking a job in a place where he can go hunting and fishing outside of work. I don't think he's driven by the paycheck. Maybe like a Utah or WSU where he can live a quieter life.

No idea if it's true or not, but there's rumors that Pete K wanted to get back out West somewhere. That's about the only thing that makes sense is if it was mutual.
Bizarre. Pretty sure their problem has been offense, not defense. Someone is going to get a great DC.

I feel like we have seen a resurgence in running the ball

The Seahawks run the ball more than any other team in the NFL and have the 5th highest scoring offense in the league. They aren't even good at running the ball.

The Big 10 just needs to axe 6-8 teams. It will eventually happen. The top of the conference is only going to drag the bottom along financially for so long. Every decision in college football is made with money in mind.

He doesn't have UW in his long term plans. Might as well leave now. Much better of a situation than when DeBoer left in January after the transfer portal closed. Completely gutted the roster due to the timing. UW has a chance to get someone in quickly and salvage things.

Lots of people on the Washington side think Fisch is gone after the UW game tonight.
The Falcons coaching staff is a disaster.

Florida is his alma mater. He was roommates with Howie Roseman there and got started under Spurrier. I think Florida is his dream college job (I'd be surprised if Florida wanted him though). I think his dream job is literally anywhere in the NFL.

I think this is Fisch's last year at UW. I think he wants out. Not sure where, but my guess would be UCLA.
