What doesn't make any sense to me at all is why in the hell he would do that. He had no chance of making the tackle, and cut blocking Vilma only helped to almost get him hurt.

Well it was obvious that he assumed he had safety help over the top, we can't know for sure if he was supposed to or not. Hard to criticize based on assumptions.

It's what a lot of people fail to understand, he is not the leader of this team, he is not being asked to win ball games, he is being asked to not lose them, one day he might be that leader and go to guy, but right now, he is doing his job.

With the backup that is not so much of a threat because Brantley is more of a pocket passer.
