I feel Lane knew his best to compete at Ole Miss was via the portal and this kid had no real interest inLSU for whatever reasons. Maybe it was just Kelly but Lane has a track record with QBs so will be interesting to see if he pushes for this kid

As a veteran that uses the VA the service for me has gotten better over the years. There maybe a shortage in staff but that may be the reason they are offering more services outside of the VA. Most of my appointments I can schedule directly with private practices via community care.

Can we create and pin a thread so people can continue talking about how bad we are recruiting the portal, how we are broke, and how Alabama is a farm team. Though as some point out not sure how we would be a farm team if we cannot develop them as some think.
Either way let’s focus on players in portal and those that UA is potentially in it for in this thread. The negative posters take it out of this thread please along with the armchair expert coaches

He had a breakout year at Yale. Missed 2023 for injury which kept him to only 3 games in 2024 but 2025 not bad in a run heavy offense.

The first page on this thread shows we currently have 79 on the roster including those already transferring in. If correct that means we have 26 more spots to add. No reason we cannot add transfer into the remaining spots. Our program is not financially broke, just not willing to throw 4+ million at one player. Why pay an OT 4 million for one year when you can pay 8 for the same amount that all have 3 years of eligibility left to play? Some may not pan out but I have depth and the opportunity to develop what I need instead of going into the portal after every season for an expensive one-year mercenary. Just an example

The other day it was reported we had 73 on the roster. That leaves 32 spots open. Need a starting LB, at least 1 more starting OL, DL and maybe RB after that give me another 10 OL and 10 DL for depth and develop into starters with 3 years of eligibility. Skill positions through HS recruiting

Haywood is a different story because he is still a young player. Players leaving big programs because of a coaching change is always a good opportunity to find some studs.
I posted this the other day. You see these guys coming from smaller programs that had no stars or ranked coming out of HS and now they are at least a 3 star in the portal versus a guy 4 or 5 star coming out of HS and that has lowered. That now 3 star guy has worked his butt off and is hungry and will also not command as much with NIL. The rating system is based off of potential coming out of HS where in the transfer portal it is based off of actual production of what the player did in college.

I meant I think the staff may be focusing on just getting our current roster secured and waiting to sign after Friday new guys because if we sign someone now a current player could possibly hit the portal before Friday.

I have a feeling we may not see many more additions until after Friday when the portal closes. Secure everyone we have on the roster first, let the portal close, and grab what you need after that.

Some sites may very slightly but still seems to the be same teams in some order coming into 2025 as top NIL spenders.

Of the top 10 NIL spenders 5 made the playoffs with one still in it and only one other with a winning record. Whether it is one or multiple donors they will only invest for so long without a ROI providing the results they expect. It will not sustain at its current rate. Many coaches will enter the season on the hotseat with NIL rosters.

Another name to maybe watch for in the portal is Enow Etta a DL from Michigan. We were top 4 for him out of HS and Deboer recruited him as well at Washington.
I also read D Wilson is supposed to visit LSU this weekend. Another site (not sure if connected or just guessing) has predicted Wilson to LSU and the Dessir twins. Though my guess is Dessir twins will end up in Miami.

I am sure Sheridan has some big cliffhanger for the finale. Maybe something in the paperwork her husband put in there and she finds out she cannot fire him or the cartel hires him.
But the season will probably end with Cooper going to jail with his girl crying in the background. Tommy gets kicked out of the house which will cause Angela to get an apartment with her daughter near the TTech campus which she already hinted at and leave Tommy because he has no income now. Since the dad does not want to go back to a home, he will die in the pool floating or in a Sheridan twist die while the girl is riding him.
