Enjoyed it thoroughly, good story that doesn't follow some standard Hollywood trope. British movies use actors who look like real people and not glamorous actors, I like that element.

By 2040 St. George will be majority black, take a drive down Coursey, pawn shops, plasma centers, vape shops, wigs, payday loans. Go eat at Chimes East one night.
I stopped my wife from going to pick up groceries after dark, now I don't go either. What some call racism is actually fear of violent crime.

Dogs shouldn't eat fast food anyway.

Another factor is Mounjaro and all of the semaglutides lessen your appetite for alcohol as well as food.
In the 70's, when Bobby Fisher was a household name, I got caught up in it, learned the game from some excellent rated players and within a couple of years, played competitively. Since it's been over 50 years, I don't remember what the highest ranking I achieved.
But, there is a downside, the same thing that happened to me with contract bridge, I couldn't put it down. I lay awake all night, replaying games, moves, strategy. It was all consuming to the point that my wife said it was her and the baby or chess.
In 1987 I was stuck on a ship for a week loading freight, the Korean engineer kept bugging me to play him, finally I said one game, and only one game. I mated him in about ten moves, my mistake, the next 4 days he wanted a rematch.

It's the face-to-face and great service, over-tipping a WH just seems right.

A lot of people from NO were Pirate fans, the NO Pelican minor league team was a Pirate farm club. So I had seen Elroy Face, Harvey Haddix, Vern Law, Smokey Burgess all play for the Pels.
Last year we were on a cruise, one night at dinner we happened to sit with a couple, about my age, who were from Pittsburgh. We started talking about the Pirates, I made a small bet with him that I could name the '60's Pirate line-up. Burgess, Vern Law, Dick Stuart, Maz, Dick Groat, Don Hoak, Skinner, Virden and the greatest, Roberto Clemente. The other pitching staff was Bob Friend, Harvey Haddix, Elroy Face, I'm sure there were others.

I suspect that some don't know what a JAP is, a Jewish American Princess, which are a substantial portion of the Tulane female students. When I was at Goyola, I dated a few, nice girls, but I never knew one that was athletic beyond tennis.

I don't think JAPS play sports, not the ones I dated.

Advocate food writers

I'm not calling them critics, because they mostly write Chamber of Commerce type reviews. The Picayune had food greats like Richard Collins, Gene Bourg and Tom Fitz, now we get a bunch of women who won't eat raw fish when they review a sushi bar and apparently can't stand anything too spicy.
They need to clean house, add some guys, or women, with a bit more culinary range and some wine knowledge would be nice too. They are wasting space on the church ladies they have now.

The only things we bought were Minute Mate orange juice, Bama strawberry preserves and fish sticks. We had a party a couple of years ago, everyone had to bring a food from to 60's, my fish sticks were the first thing to disappear.
I grew up in a SAHM household, processed foods were an expensive luxury, I did love Vienna sausage my dad bought when we went fishing..

I know it seems extreme to the average user, but I would never buy a laptop/prebuilt to not then immediately follow up with a clean OS install. Way too much bloatware comes standard.
Dell Optiplex models are mostly for business use and free from bloatware. I think Dell renamed Optiplex, but I have not ordered any lately.
McAfee Malware Cure

I may be late to the party, but I've found a cure for the annoying McAfee that pops up on the right side of your screen and will not go away without a reboot. Simply delete all cookies and Temp Internet Files.

Synology is probably the gold tier recommendation
The Linux OS on Synology is really the best, For businesses <50 workstations, I stopped using Windows Server products completely, Synology is a snap to install and maintain, I set up a company with 27 users in a few hours, the last Win Server of similar size too me a weekend with help.
Very rarely have to go onsite, and that is usually for a windows issue.
The only downsides are parts, rarely need, and that the Chinese are likely listening in.

Through trial and error I have found YouTubeTV to be the best streaming service by far. Hulu was a pain because it didn't allow you to FF through commercials. The rest, Fubo etc, have other flaws.
I have no issue with YTTV in 3 years I;ve had it.

If you are brown, flush it down.
White folks, keep around
How do you know I'm not black?
Keep your victim mentality and you are doomed to failure, and that doesn't matter what color you are. I don't see people of any color getting tickets.
Does BRPD or EBRSO give traffic tickets any longer?
Posted by andouille on 2/12/26 at 10:41 pm
Several times in the last year I have seen people commit obvious traffic violations, right in front of a motorcycle cop, or a marked police car, and nothing happens. Today I got off at the O'neal I-12 exit, I was turning right, so I drove on the shoulder to get around the left turning traffic. I looked in my rear-view mirror; there was a motorcycle cop behind me who saw my illegal move, I thought, damn, busted, but nothing.
Then I realize, except for the Interstate, I have not seen anyone get a ticket in years.
