Silly me. I did not know that Colt McCoy played defense. I guess he would have stopped Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson who ran for a combined 300 yards in that game all by himself.

My dad was a Coach Bryant fan. My earliest memories are of watching Alabama games on TV with my dad. That was back in the day when there may have been 1 or 2 games on TV on Saturday.

Steadman Shealy's daughter Jacqueline was on the gymnastics team a few years ago at Bama, now she is on staff at the Tuscaloosa News.

Sarah and David Patterson's daughter Jordan is on the softball team at Bama.

His induction into the CFHOF is way past due in my humble opinion. I just wish that John Mark was still here to see it in person, he would have loved it, but he will just have to watch the ceremony from heaven.

We met him, John Mark, and Leroy Jordan at the Bryant Museum years ago, Coach took the time to speak with everyone who wanted to speak with him until he had to go on to his next event.

And yes, Jackie Traina aka The J-Train is quite the softball player, she simply loves the game.

Baylor's catcher's arm is just fine, she took a foul ball to the face last weekend at the superregional at UGA and had some fractures. She had no concussions nor moving fractures so they cleared her to catch only, she will not be batting. BU coach wanted her because of the speed of Bama's base stealers.

3 - 0 Bama top of the 6th.
